No. But I never missed games in the crap periods. In fact I was keener in a perverse sort of way when everyone was mocking City sliding down the divisions. Also enjoyed the day out, drinks etc more. Our successful period has seen me feel detached from the club in a way I never did even with the awful owners who didn't care about the club back then. Probably down to a disillusionment with professional football in general.

Exactly the same for me. When at our absolute ****test on the pitch I made no thought to making long trips to Swansea, Exeter or the annual pilgrimage to Torkey safe in the knowledge that you’d see the same 100 regular faces there (counted 27 at Vetch Field once). Indeed out and about in town you’d see a familiar face and there was a knowing nod between you, it felt like our special club and bumping into highly accessible approachable players in bars and clubs was a further bonus.

I actually feel sorry for those who chose to miss these times and jumped on the bandwagon when Adam and the new stadium arrived. They could never experience the emotions that we did.

I suppose we can only conclude that the Allams expect to get zero for the club and therefore it matters not at what level it plays its football. I'm still glad we booed the sh1t at Wembley.fluck you allam

I know there has not been much to comment on transfer wise but this whole thread is spoilt by petty arguments. Who cares how long someone has been supporting City. Everyone has to start somewhere. Have some of you not got anything better to do than squabbling on here. I thought women were supposed to be the bitchy ones. Very rare you see a bitchy comment from one of us on here. Back to the subject. If Dawson was in Nottingham as reported then surely he went without the permission of the club, or did he have permission then Ehab realised what a mistake it was and changed his mind. I do hope we find out in the course of time. Whatever players are on the pitch we will just have to support them cos its not their fault the club is in the state it is in. Hard when there is not much to cheer about when you see them play but if we could just get a couple of wins it would lift everyone including the team. As for the Chelsea game. God I'm dreading it.

Was only 16 at QPR once. And that was when Terry Neill was here and home crowds were decent.

I wasn’t even born then. Am guessing from memory this Swansea game was under Hateley. I was also in a woefully small following at Torkey once when in thick fog you couldn’t see much past half way.

Thankfully it turns out, we lost 5-1.

I’m confused now - the one posting about being there at our ****test is the very same TWS ****?

I need a lie down.

I said on a thread about being at some Leeds games when I worked there. Though in 3 years I only missed one City home game. That silly **** makes out that made me a White ****e supporter.
Got to a fair few away games when living there as well. The 6-0 hammering at Cardiff being one of them. And Swindon with a half full bus of supporters.

I said I went to some games when City weren't playing, silly ****. Used to go to games in Birmingham when I worked there. That is because I am a football fan.

Tsk tsk tsk. What a betrayal. Go to L**ds for years because you're a football fan? Shake. My. Head. FOR SHAME.

Odd games. Don't forget Birmingham. Their rendition of Keep Right On To The End Of The Road at one game in particular was the most stirring thing I have heard in a football ground. Don't know why but never went to Villa games, or WBA even though a bloke I worked with was a fanatic and they were the best team.

Got to give the 2 new guys a chance but will Nigel be happy with that, is that what he was told would be the total sum of his recruitment , doesn't exactly look enough to turn things around - and if it is true that Dawson went to Nottingham then I struggle to see how he can come back and be captain, I hope he didn't , don't blame him for wanting out but have to do things the correct way, will let him off if he puts in a bullet header at the city ground ( in the correct net)
