I was reading an article this morning that reckons the 3 promoted teams are favourites to go back down!!!
Nor me, I've ALWAYS thought he had the potential to be a Huckerby replacement. I'll bet that's Rusty's influence!!! We CAN'T improve if we're going to let our better youth players leave and I believe Middleton had been at Norwich since he was 12. I can see him being a MASSIVE player for them and wouldn't be at all surprised if he was in their match day squad next year!!
Is he another free? Paying his wages? He was such a prospect! All we now is for madders to move for 8M.
That was pretty stupid, we are looking at the German 3rd division for a young fast skillful winger who scored goals then release exactly what we are looking for after investing 6 years developing him at our own expense.
Judging by the press release, he's moved on a free, permanent deal, with Norwich having a sizeable sell on clause.
In the SPL, Middleton would petrify some of the defenders they have up there and I guess he was persuaded to move with the offer of being part of the first team squad next season, whereas he would have had to wait longer at NCFC. I really am bamboozled that we've let him go though. I wonder who'll replace him on Sunday and next Wednesday??
I know he was one of your favourite players and I'm very surprised we let him go. Here's one of the goals we missed .
From Middleton's perspective, I can see why he'd want the move. He's at the back of a long queue for a start in the first team here, and he gets to move back to Scotland, to a big club, where he already knows both coaches and senior players.
