Interesting that Powell is getting loads of attention recently. How much would it have taken to get him? Bruce might not have quit either.

Supporters always make excuses for why players leave.
The reality is we matched the valuation and for the player we are a much bigger club than Barnsley.
Personally I've never heard of him.

Am i right in thinking he was with torquay and other lower league teams then 1 good season with barnsley? Made capt for one game last year so he is labled as "barnsley captain"

Looking on wikipedia he started at Reading then played most of his football in the lower leagues before joining Barnsley.
I think Adkins worked with him when at Reading.
Hopefully he is a no nonsense centre back and doesn't think he's Baresi like Hector.

He left Reading two months after Adkins arrived, having never played a game for them, so I doubt he knows all that much about him.
