In 60 years of supporting Saints that moment is up there with any other. That it was at Anfield increased my joy a thousand fold.
I love seeing that goal again and again....but it is quickly followed by a feeling of sadness...not just because we lost the final, but because we kicked Puel in the teeth.

That's what makes this whole thing so odd. The team is clearly still fighting for the Manager as shown by the performances in games, but obviously results matter the most.
I don't think it's that odd at all, I think it spirals from the bad tensions of VvD and the major factor... confidence and belief. After a while of letting leads slip they just got stuck in a rut.
