What we need are players with ambition to play for Man Utd et al and see Southampton as the shop window. If we buy a good player who gives us some great times for a couple of seasons and then moves on for a profit we've done well. It's the Sadio Mane model. Look at the article, this lad is keen to play in the EPL. Well, no ****. Come and live in England, earn mega-bucks, get talked up big style by balding pundits and get a move to a club that'll give you all the pounds you can eat. It's a complete no-brainer. My only question would be whether he can hit the ground running, but if he can then sign him but let's keep emotionally detached!

3m Euro is correct, but in Russia the tax rate is so low compared to here it could cause issues. Unless he's willing to take a pay cut, we'll have to pay around £100k to match his net pay. It'll be interesting to see what happens.
