Are you referring to Spurs? Do you think we have had a few good seasons that's all?

If so, this is my point...you're missing everything else that is going forward too...we have been improving for the last ten years...not ****ty improving but real improving. We are top 4 as much as anyone else and we do have a brand spanking new stadium that should increase our revenue to look ahead to.

We have finished above you for 8 of the last 10 years...if you can talk big...we sure can.

If you weren't referring to Spurs...then...oh well...oops :emoticon-0136-giggl

which ****ers with their water pistols? As far as i'm aware the media all have a **** over spurs.

It's only rival fans that take the piss which is pretty much what you would expect.

Obviously the wumming on here is standard fare too!

****ing hell there's a lot of bitterness there <laugh>

A) not everyone thought Arsenal were daddies for consecutive top 4 finishes, loads of people took the piss out of them celebrating it as a trophy. Spurs tinted glasses there.

B) Spurs aren't a massive club, they're a big club of course but not a massive club. I also think a lot of people have welcomed Spurs arriving on the scene with good football and an English core... Not everyone is anti Spurs ffs, you wanna be at the top then people are gonna have a pop that's life.

C) Everyone wanted Leicester to win it as it was considered impossible before it happened and is the greatest singular achievement of the modern era.
Excellent summary ... and on B) ... just wait until you actually win something notable ... some fans of other teams will NEVER get over that :emoticon-0136-giggl

Our last ten years consist of:

-Relegation to league one and nearly going out of business
-Winning the paint pot
- Back to back promotions to PL
- qualifying for Europe twice on the trot including a top 6 finish
- beating Inter Milan and reaching a cup final in the same season.
-Possibly relegation back to the championship?

Never boring being a Saints fan <cheers> <laugh>
<cheers> ... in fairness, my 50 years actively supporting Leicester have usually been eventful ... usually either a promotion push or a relegation battle... <laugh>

... so it's all about 'improvement' and within the last 10 years? ... well why didn't you say ... but wait ... we've progressed through 3 leagues winning the title in each in the last 10 years ... the last one being a step beyond some of the clubs now whinging about other fans not appreciating their 'improvement' ...looks like we win ... again <cheers> :emoticon-0135-makeu :emoticon-0136-giggl

And after all that I suppose that if questioned you don't really compare yourselves to the so called big clubs but just enjoy the moment?

I agree and yes Spurs have been very good and have improved dramatically but not taken that one big step in winning something maybe the attitude of some of the fanbase who now bang on about how good Spurs are is what irks the likes of Utd. The comparison between Liverpool and Spurs is interesting as we've fallen badly behind over the years but still have the fanbase and stadium to compete and we seem on an upward spurt at the moment. When Spurs fans try to compare the club with us the reaction is harsh as we have to accept the strides you have made but are you on the same level as us? THAT DISCUSSION WOULD CAUSE SOME ****.

That's the problem...we have been better than you but that's not the debate so I'm not getting into it.

Where we were 10 years ago to where we are now, it's us that are the most progressive and going in the right direction so why should we talk of our team like they are second class citizens to a bunch of has beens and crumbling empires? Spurs will match any team if they turn up....and they do turn up more than they don't. Lesta won it, that's what counts, so maybe you should adopt their MO? I can see what's happening at Spurs and yeah we are ****ing massive. Others can also see what's happening and that's why they try their hardest to sell our players on our behalf <laugh>

...absolutely spot on ... the slightly concerning thing is that our momentum is still upward at this point in time, with stadium expansion plans and the squad improving in quality and depth to an extent us 'olduns' could have only dreamt about growing up ... there is a danger that the young generation of our fans that did not experience the pre-King Power eras will have seriously unrealistic expectations <laugh>

I think it's more to do with the fanbase of the said 4 teams. They seem to have built a collective chip on their shoulder when any other team tries to barge in and move in. Then you get bellends who support no hope teams yet still have the audacity to pop shots with their water pistols. Plus them 4 weren't smashing **** out of each other any more than the top teams do now. I recall watching a few bore draws in my time involving them

It's like you're safe if your team runs away with it or is utter dog ****. Anyone with ambition gets shot down..it's the British way of life.

I disagree mate, I don't care that there's no longer the same 4 teams competing, what I don't like is that if you're 2nd/3rd the consensus seems to be that you're just utter ****, unless you're top of the league in which case you're the best PL team of all time.

Liverpool won the CL and finished 5th in the league, Chelsea 6th the year they won it. Being first in the league doesn't mean the rest of the teams are just struggling wimps.

Like fcuk does he!

He’s as anti Spurs as every other bell end on here!

If by anti-Spurs you mean that I don't support Spurs then you're bang on. Otherwise nope, your club are growing well but I'm inclined to take clubs that win trophies a bit more seriously.

It's like you wanna wear the green jacket but you've never won The Masters. **** outta here with your Sergio Giorgini.

Maybe we should all be like Leicester and just enjoy our club other than constantly trying to compare and be the next Arsenal (top 4 champions). I'm still never going to celebrate getting into the top 4 I just want us to win something.

No bitterness...I couldn't give a ****. See this is my point, you're a fan of a no mark club who's only shining light was that some toothless **** helped you win the cup in the 70's or am I talking about Sunderland? Man don't remember. Yet you still have the audacity to have pop shots at Spurs and their ambitions GTFO Libby lad.

Football isn't important enough to me to leave me bitter

You're so irrelevant the only thing you have been shouting about this year is that you managed to scrape a replay against Steptoe's old team...small club...**** off <ok>

you're a good man in general spurlock but i think we've found your "politics" topic.

all i see in this post is you [HASHTAG]#raging[/HASHTAG]

Not really, many clubs like Blackburn, Newcastle, Lazio, Leipzig, Parma, Fiorentina, Betis, etc, have tried and failed.

Buying success is not that easy. It took City, what, 4 years to win league, and no CL, yet, not even close.

That's 9 years after being taken over by the Sheik.

United are trying to buy success with their huge commercial income, not that easy, is it?

You don't count mate...you're club did what any club can do. It's like when you see two mansions. One is owned by the old man, the grafter. The other one is owned by the Chavy lottery winner. People got time for the old man, you'll always just be a Chavy **** who won the lottery.

It's like that mate...that's how we see it
