Tbf Liverpool have been **** hot lately, credit where it's due. And Spurs. We'll shut them up soon though. At Wembley. Lingard's favourite patch.
It's boring now in this league, if you're not running away with the title your team are utter dog ****. Back in the 2000's we had 4 teams smashing **** out of each other and they were all great teams, now not, all **** unless you're top of the league.
Yeah, it is a load of ****. We've both drawn games we should have won and scraped wins we should have romped. I'll give you big wins v Brighton and Swansea and an excellent performance v City. Even then you nearly blew it. We cruised to that last night. Zero goals conceded. Bottom line is, we're still above you so are in equally decent form.
When he moves to a big club. Even if he doesn’t improve playing for Pool, City, Manure or the Chavs his chances of playing for England will be greatly enhanced. Wrong, but that is how it seems these days.
I think it's more to do with the fanbase of the said 4 teams. They seem to have built a collective chip on their shoulder when any other team tries to barge in and move in. Then you get bellends who support no hope teams yet still have the audacity to pop shots with their water pistols. Plus them 4 weren't smashing **** out of each other any more than the top teams do now. I recall watching a few bore draws in my time involving them It's like you're safe if your team runs away with it or is utter dog ****. Anyone with ambition gets shot down..it's the British way of life.
Basically haters gonna hate. From Liverpool's point of view we might not have won anything of note recently but it's quite clear we're improving under Klopp... as Spurs have under Poch. Some Utd fans struggle with the idea Liverpool are actually a decent side now. Fair play to Tel as he says what he sees. Liverpool won't win anything until we buy a top class keeper. Hopefully Mignolet gets sold and we buy Oblak or Allison...probably be summer window now though tbh.
It's dead on here this morning so lets go with this. Maybe the chip on the shoulder comes from teams who have a good season or two who then announce that they are the next big thing and the establishment has been toppled.
Haters gonna hate....that's the one. You get boring teams doing the same old **** they were doing 20 years ago...plod...plod...yawn. It's only now that it's getting a bit poisonous otherwise Arsenal fans used to celebrate the finishing 4th trophy. Everyone else thought they were daddies for doing it. Now a progressive club like Spurs threaten to do it season in season out and you get ****ers with their water pistols having an issue with it. Anyone can do what Chelsea did...City just proved it. Man U fans have a bit of 'we own the PL' about them. Pool and Spurs are massive clubs and when they are making massive strides...the majority have an issue with it. That's why I believe everyone was supporting little ol' Lesta...they knew they would dissapear into oblivion again. So it's obvious why the bullshit happens to only a handful of clubs...we are not **** enough to be patronised and the journey upwards is too threatening to the old dogs
Are you referring to Spurs? Do you think we have had a few good seasons that's all? If so, this is my point...you're missing everything else that is going forward too...we have been improving for the last ten years...not ****ty improving but real improving. We are top 4 as much as anyone else and we do have a brand spanking new stadium that should increase our revenue to look ahead to. We have finished above you for 8 of the last 10 years...if you can talk big...we sure can. If you weren't referring to Spurs...then...oh well...oops
I agree and yes Spurs have been very good and have improved dramatically but not taken that one big step in winning something maybe the attitude of some of the fanbase who now bang on about how good Spurs are is what irks the likes of Utd. The comparison between Liverpool and Spurs is interesting as we've fallen badly behind over the years but still have the fanbase and stadium to compete and we seem on an upward spurt at the moment. When Spurs fans try to compare the club with us the reaction is harsh as we have to accept the strides you have made but are you on the same level as us? THAT DISCUSSION WOULD CAUSE SOME ****.
****ing hell there's a lot of bitterness there A) not everyone thought Arsenal were daddies for consecutive top 4 finishes, loads of people took the piss out of them celebrating it as a trophy. Spurs tinted glasses there. B) Spurs aren't a massive club, they're a big club of course but not a massive club. I also think a lot of people have welcomed Spurs arriving on the scene with good football and an English core... Not everyone is anti Spurs ffs, you wanna be at the top then people are gonna have a pop that's life. C) Everyone wanted Leicester to win it as it was considered impossible before it happened and is the greatest singular achievement of the modern era.
Not really, many clubs like Blackburn, Newcastle, Lazio, Leipzig, Parma, Fiorentina, Betis, etc, have tried and failed. Buying success is not that easy. It took City, what, 4 years to win league, and no CL, yet, not even close. That's 9 years after being taken over by the Sheik. United are trying to buy success with their huge commercial income, not that easy, is it?
... so it's all about 'improvement' and within the last 10 years? ... well why didn't you say ... but wait ... we've progressed through 3 leagues winning the title in each in the last 10 years ... the last one being a step beyond some of the clubs now whinging about other fans not appreciating their 'improvement' ...looks like we win ... again
C) Everyone wanted Leicester to win it as it was considered impossible before it happened and is the greatest singular achievement of the modern era. [/QUOTE]
Our last ten years consist of: -Relegation to league one and nearly going out of business -Winning the paint pot - Back to back promotions to PL - qualifying for Europe twice on the trot including a top 6 finish - beating Inter Milan and reaching a cup final in the same season. -Possibly relegation back to the championship? Never boring being a Saints fan
