I know that Klopp has played down us signing anyone but I do feel like now is the perfect time to add to the squad. We've just proven that what we have is good enough....without £75m of defender. Adding now will only compound our belief....

Nobody wants a knee jerk buying frenzy but if we can get at least one more signing over the line, it can only have a positive impact.

    Hopefully.

Its about how the person is integrated and used.

If they are forced into the side by a manager ala asprilla way back when irrespective of how the team is doing right then it can be very disruptive.

If they come in and are willing to bide their time even til may then its good.

I'm hoping this week brings some good news.

I'm also ready for a week of utter nonsense related to the 'Coutinho money'

I love and hate the transfer window in equal measures!

    What position though?

    I want a goalie personally.

Others might go for defender or dm.

GK would be my first option. I'd love us to buy big on a proper GK, it would make such a difference.

I wouldn't say no to a top keeper either mate.

But we also need proper cover for the front 3. Solanke isn't ready so right now it's Ox. My biggest fear is a Firminho injury as he cannot be directly replaced, not easily anyway. Replacing Salah/Mane with Ox is feasible albeit not as effective.

So yeah, a keeper would be good but a player that can cover the front 3 (i.e. A proper Couthino replacement) is as important imo.

I wonder if there's any legs in the Martin's rumour? He's a pacey wide man that can play across the front line...

Not too sure he's good enough though tbh. The rumour keeps cropping up though with some reports saying terms agreed.

Roma goalkeeper Alisson has refused to rule out a move to Liverpool but insists he will be staying with the Serie A club until the end of the season.

Why Liverpool can’t meet Suso release clause in January
please log in to view this image

    15 January at 09:45
Liverpool are reportedly considering signing Suso to replace Philippe Coutinho in the January transfer window. Several reports in Italy claim the Reds would be open to match the player’s release clause in the current transfer window but today’s edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport reveals the truth on the Spaniard’s contract situation.

Suso, in fact, has a € 40 million release clause included in his contract but the clause can only be activated in the summer. The release clause of the talented winger could rise to € 50 million if the rossoneri manage to qualify for the Champions League.

AC Milan ruled out Suso January exit yesterday writing in their official website:

Agree. We should spend the majority of that Coutinho cash on a world class keeper

Our midfield is still lacking lmo, so for me we should really sign a midfielder maybe that Goretzka bloke, to be fair to Karius he hasn’t had a good long run of games to be judged just yet. But yeah we need to flog out mignolet is just not good enough for us

lol erm... then i'll have to go into hiding.

No idea who the hell is in control of our transfers but it's been a big mess all round from our transfer policy to contes recent tactics. Still though i'm fairly confident we'll finish top 4 and have a good crack at the cups hence the more successful season.

to be honest, if lallana is fully fit (he looked knackered against everton but was his first game) then he's pretty similar to firmino. Good ball control, technically good, cruyff turn mania and some footballing intelligence allied with good work rate. Ropey finishing and whilst not slow, not the quickest so he's basically a white firmino

Klopp wants to prove he can work his magic on LFC rejects too.

Tbh, I will never question one of his forward signings. What he's done with Mane, Salah and Firminho is the stuff of genius.

Neither was Moratas against Stoke a couple of months back.

Either way both are ropey finishers :p

You've also forgotten the millions of sitters he's missed.
