Glad you are OK. Was involved in a smash when a driving instructor put the anchors in in front of the car in front of me (I think he had told his pupil to do an emergency stop, but you can't prove it)and went into back of them coming back off holiday in September and wrote car off even though I wasn't going at speed. Of course the one in front of me and myself both lose out as we are judged to have been driving too close whilst the one who caused it walked away and was the only one whose insurance won't be affected. Must admit I was impressed the AA accident I have cover with who got me home with my car which could not move under its own steam and my insurance company who I rang inn the Friday night, an assessor rang me on the Monday and we agreed a figure which wasn't far off what I was hoping for and money was in my account on the Thursday. Been driving over 40 years without an accident but I must admit I leave larger gaps now. The wife grabbing the seat every time I overtake now and tensing up if she considers I am too, close or a brake light goes on has taken some of the pleasure out of a ride out somewhat. Unfortunately my standard response to her back seat driving of our son has written a car off, her brother has written a car off but I have never had an accident so shut up until I have an accident has gone now.
Glad you got through it fella. Had one of them myself - your whole life passes through your mind in an instant. Then you can't remember a bloody thing immediately after you realize you're ok and go into a sort of dream-state. Did you have the presence of mind to ask him if he was a striker and if he fancied a game on Saturday ?
just watched the vid. i can't even imagine that, that is seriously incredibly lucky that you got pushed to the outer lane, it could have so easily been disastrous consequences. you were in his blind spot, but surely he saw you before you vanished and then didn't see you. the amount of foreign lorry drivers that have caused accidents on our motorways is high motorways need to be changed, it's a 1960s invention that is using vehicles that are incredibly larger and more powerful, but it's why i hate them, it's completely dicing with death, it only takes one idiot to ruin lives
Macca certainly is not their fan's favourite at the moment, after they heckled their team through out their last game, Macca just walked off without acknowledging them at the end of the game, until one of Reading players pointed out that he should go back and applaud them which he did. Doesn't seemed to have softened the anger towards him through. Looks like he will get a better reception from City fan's than he will from his own today.
I have predicted a City loss today, on the pretext that last week I predicted a loss at Blackburn and we won. Don't change a winning formula I say.
Glad you’re ok Happy, Blimey and lawks a mercy. You haven’t said it so I will: Regulation 4-0. You ‘Ull. I will not to do again so as to not plagiarise.
i have a feeling we will win, but it's not a B team. if we don't win then this will be the game that we should seriously consider relegation to league one especially with sunderland away next
Glad you're okay Happy. One of our drivers at work narrowly avoided going down a 100ft shear drop when hitting black ice this week. I was thinking of getting a dashcam only last week so this has convinced me. Enjoy the game you turncoat I'll enjoy it through Viking
Wow, dash cam shows how completely unaware you were of what was about to happen. Glad to know you are OK. Thought that your verbal response was entirely appropriate under the circumstances. Similar thing nearly happened to me with a Spanish lorry driver on French motorway about 15 years ago but I saw what he was doing and managed to get out of the way. I had my whole family in the car. I still have occasional nightmares. Look after yourself and your loved ones, folks. Gotta be a nailed on four nowt in recognition of Happy's unpleasantness.
Left hand drive lorries are a major problem, I had that Polish ****er rearrange the back end of my car a couple of years back (nowhere near as bad as Happy’s obviously), they simply can’t see what’s on the right of them. Glad you’re alright Happy, looked a bit hairy.
My main regret is that Adele or Little Mix weren't on the radio. I'd have gone viral. And got a record deal.
Glad you came out of that ok Happy. I witnessed something similar on Leven by pass but the car noticed at the last second and had to go over the grass central reservation and onto the dual carriageway the other side only just missing a sign post. I don't think the lorry even noticed and it wasn't even left hand drive. Happy what was the dash cam you were using there are so many on the market and the price varies so much it's hard to know what to get
I've got a NextBase 412GW with a 32gb memory card. Wife's got the 212. I had mine hardwired into the car at Halfords too. Just noticed I didn't change the number plate from me old car ffs. Is it cold up there btw? Am I gonna need a jacket?
