off to Wigan. Can't say I'm upset by this. Maja looking like the main man now. Hope he grabs it with both hands and can deal with the pressure.
We won't miss him but I've got a lot of time for him because of the effort he made to help us. Very limited player but I liked him.
Usually our players have got the ability but choose not to give 100% Vaughan was a 100% guy, but sadly lacked the ability. I wish him well
All the best to the lad, the step up was just a bit too much for him but he grafted his balls off and really did all he could to make an impact. I hope he has a decent career from here, he’ll be a great addition at Wigan, who are coming up this year anyway.
We paid 500k for him. Guaranteed Wigan have given us about 500 quid and a bag of footballs to seal the deal.
never rated him myself. he was bought for his arial ability and his hold up play. He rarely won a header, usually being dominated by the opposition centre halves. He seemed to spend most of his time on his a**e with his arms in the air, appealing to the ref. At the Boro match last week, when Vaughn got bullied again, a young lad behind me asked his dad "why does he always fall over"!!
For older lads he was worse than Wayne Entwistle. I think Vaughan is the worst striker I have seen play for us since 1970. Jozy looked like Pele in comparison.
It's just occurred to me that we must be nailed on to sign another striker pretty soon with the club sanctioning the sale of Vaughan.
