I feel a lot of business will be done on the last day of the window. Maybe one or two will make their way to SMS, but at that stage it is unlikely players at the top end of the market will move, so will in all likelihodod be someone that is surplus to requirements at their present club. That would appear to be the likes of Hernandez, Sturridge, Walcott, Mascherano, Torres (not getting much game time at Atletico). Not a list to get overly excited about. I would take a punt on the Belgian player currently on the very fringes of Chelsea's squad, Charly Musonda.
Then West Ham will get nothing. A La Liga team might give them a couple of million, but unlike PL teams at the SFC level, these sides will pay relatively little.

In my imagination we are in the phase where all the teams we were dealing with have raised their prices due to the VvD deal being announced but Les is refusing to budge so we will have to wait until near the end of the window to see if anyone will be willing to back down.

This but you have to accept there will be a mark up when people know you've a lot of money also when people know you're desperate. I've said for a long time that although you shouldn't make a habit of it there's times that overpaying slightly is worth it. This is one of those times.
I have absolutely no idea. But we need to. And I'll assume the board recognise that. So yeah, we'll sign someone, like we did last January and the one before that.
Pellegrino: fans need to remain patient, I understand why people get frustrated, we need to get the right people to help us now and in the future. We are trying for a couple of targets and the priority is the final third.

Lol. Thanks AR, I do feel better for getting that off my chest. I just don't have faith anymore! I just don't get what's going on. Our club, just doesn't want to get with the real world. Football is a huge business knowadays, similar clubs to our size, have no problem spending £25M plus to get the quality that is needed. Yes, overpaying, but unfortunately that is the world we live in. Les Reed and co, are living in the past, trying to scrape by. We need a complete clean out, from Pellegrino to the board. I would of loved us, to have sold to someone like Amanda Stavley, yes it would be the club selling out, but at least we could look forward to some exciting times ahead, not heading down. There are some big money spenders in the Championship, so it's not a guarantee that we would bounce right back! I believe that our board don't want success, they are quite happy with surviving. Just keep on taking the TV money and run!
