Timm Klose wanted by ex club Basle, as KIO has shown. Can't remember how much we paid for him, but I imagine he would go for £6-7m to Switzerland. This would leave us with Hanley, Zimmer and Raggett. Is that enough? Not if we are going to play 3 on defence.
Recent sales figures:
Jacob Murphy (Newcastle) - £12.5m
• Nathan Redmond (Southampton) – £11m
• Leroy Fer (QPR) – £10m
• Lewis Grabban (Bournemouth) – £8m
• Bradley Johnson (Derby) – £7.5m
• Robert Snodgrass (Hull) – £7m
I'd say all of those were good deals and £13m+ for Pritchard would be another.
It seems pretty certain that Pritchard will leave this window and the only question seems to be his ultimate destination and fee. I'd still like us to get £15M or close to that figure, but I'd settle for anything above £12M.We'll said 1950. Apparently Swansea and Bournemouth have both expressed interest in Pritchard so the bidding could hot up. Like many newly promoted teams, Huddersfield made a good start and then have fallen away in recent games. They need a lift now, but as you say, Pritchard could be wary of another wrong step.
Ado Den Haag defender Tyronne Ebuehi has reportedly signed a pre-contract agreement to sign for Norwich City.
Sometimes you seem unable to look beyond ' ins and outs ' An average wage of £20k a week means a wage bill of £26m a year for the squad of 25. Even if the ground is full every week then each seat would have to raise nearly £1000 a year just to cover the wage bill of the first team squad alone and quite clearly each seat does not raise that. Add on NI, pension contributions, medical cover costs, wages of other staff and players, normal running costs, the academy, incoming transfers, hotel costs, agents fees etc etc etc then it is not hard to see where any profit on players sold plus the TV money has gone. Sacking a Manager and his staff every 2 years doesn't help either!!!Hmm, so where's the money gone then ?
Maybe, just maybe, we should have retained Alan Irvine?Sacking a Manager and his staff every 2 years doesn't help either!!!

My glass is now probably 65% full that DF can turn things around, but if Trybull doesn't sign a new contract .......Except that SW looked at that and said no. I liked Irvine, but I doubt he would have gone along with the new player recruitment policy. IMO that would have been a short term solution ending in another expensive pay-off.

Still can't get over 8m for Grabban. That was such a good sale for us.Recent sales figures:

But isn't that what he cost us in the first place?Still can't get over 8m for Grabban. That was such a good sale for us.
