It used to be Monday lunchtime. I can still remember the sound of the balls in the velvet bag [Ooooh, errrrr Mrs.] Was it Brian Butler introducing with Ted Croker [Eric Dier's grandad] and the FA Chairman [I can't recall his name but have been reminded that it was Bert Millichip] doing the draw?

There used to be a group of us Spurs together in the Chemistry room at school listening out for the draw. Arsenal fans found somewhere else.

I remember us avoiding Ipswich and getting Wolves in the Semi-Final in '81 and knowing that it was our year. I also remember getting Man Utd. and Liverpool in the 2 previous seasons and knowing that those weren't going to be our years.

You'll be well pleased with the draw tonight then Brian, as we've avoided them again. Mainly because they're out, to be honest.
Carter-Vickers played the whole match, so one of our players drew them, I guess.

Peter Beardsley accused of bullying and racism. If proven, that makes him an ugly racist bully

To me, he always sounds like Dudley Moore after the dentist in 10. I can't understand a word he says............how can anyone tell what he's saying?

    Maybe Beardsley mimes it?

Just turns up in the white, pointy hat and waves a burning cross about. That should do it.

A mate of mine says definitely Bert Millichip in the 70's. Like this........

How in God's name did I forget Graham Kelly? It's good to hear the balls in the bag again - Don't titter.

    Smithy, this one's for you.....

    Smithy,

This is all I could find for you. It's got Danny with the cup in the intro. The sound's rotten but happy memories?

On Thursday, there's an NFL press conference to announce the 2018 games in London. The 'presser' is being held at Lilywhite House which suggests that all is well in our relationship with the Americans.

I wonder what name they are going to refer to the stadium by?

Daniel, it's time to be sorting out the naming rights. Our new home needs a name.

That's going to drive me nuts. I know it's not Peter Dimmock (Sportsview?) Good commentator though.
It's not Kenneth Wolstenholme (he was in the line at Manchester Station in the 60's near me while the United fans were rioting.Oh those good old days! Those rioting United fans are probably grandfathers now.Scary, isn't it?)

Newport away in the next round! Decent draw that.

As the draw progressed I was fearing Chelsea away!

Lots of premier league teams getting knocked out!
