Couple of inferior players in to replace outgoing ones. Maybe a surplus of 1 player in to show that we are not a selling club. Marquee signing. £50k.
 
Do we have a sell on clause for Maguire?

As we have clearly demonstrated we are one of the best run clubs in the country - I'm going to say we haven't. Plus we sold him far too cheaply.

We sold a few of them too cheaply. Robertson being another and maybe even Livermore too last Jan.

Livermore was not cheap and Clucas was about 8 million overpriced. Spread that across Maguire, Robertson and Clucas it’s about right.

The thing boy wonder did wrong was he did t have Robertson or Maguire on further contracts then we could have maybe commended maybe another 5 million for both. The way Hull is ran by boy wonder we would never get 25 million plus for a player.

I think with Clucas - Swansea didn’t understand what they were signing. They wanted something to replace Sigurdsson and that’s not Clucas. I think the price is fine; they just had ridiculous expectations and then were surprised when he didn’t do what their former player did. Different type of midfielder.

Surely not, with us being one of the best run clubs in the country? Passing off an opportunity for a player that is likely to have significant resale profit in the future?

Did they live in Beverley for a while? He was at the Ipswich academy so he must have only been up here briefly?

As far as I know he was from the area, I think he moved down there a while ago to join the academy. He was never in ours, so I can only assume that's what happened.
