He has quite a good season last year and a good summer by all accounts with Germany. This season he is more at Henderson's level.
i was referring to the effort & as i pointed out to Jim a bit ago Can has never had a season as good as Henderson did in 13/14. Though imo Henderson will never get any better than his present "form" due to the physical and/or mental the heel problem causes him so needs upgrading on.
This is an interesting one. He hasn't been able to play until now and the delay til Jan has saved Chelsea £20m. One has to wonder why exactly he'd take the move now after turning the offer down just a few months ago.
Tbh it's a bargain price, add to English quota and gives him a creative player. I know he might not be first choice but it's a sensible move.
"a creative player" and the arrival of Fat Sam probably explains it. Didn't want to spend his career watching the ball fly over his head for 90 mins.
Goodbye Barkley's career before it's even properly started. What an idiot. Not as idiotic as some of the people on the radio comparing him to Gazza
As far as I'm concerned, if Klopp makes the decision then I'll stand by his judgement. He knows the details of the story far better than any hack or anyone on here and will make his decision based on what's best under the circumstances. I'd much rather it was his decision than FSG's.
Perhaps my memory's failing me, but I seem to recall he was good for the last few months of last season, but not the whole thing. I don't think he's ever put in a sustained stint of high-quality work. I think he has skill and potential but lacks concentration and/or commitment. Because of his potential I don't really want to see him go, but I won't be overly concerned - I'm sure we can do better.
