Back working today ... calm before the storm ... we are supposed to be doing dry January (albeit with the exception of my middle daughter's 18th which is in he middle of the month) - will be interesting to see if we can stick to it

Boooo! I was going to start your thread this week.
Did ours on Monday, shame to see them go, but I quite like it that the clutter has gone and the cat isn't ****ing with decorations on the tree every 5 mins.
Ours were taken down yesterday, it was relatively painless. I had a hospital appointment in the morning and, like at Tel's, I came back from that thinking we'd been robbed. I then took down the tree and all the outside stuff and went to have a filling repaired, taking time to fall out with Tobes on the way, and when I got back she'd boxed everything up so at that point I took all the boxes back up to the loft.
I then went to the match, got wet, had a consoling and guilty pint and got back to a properly tidied house.
The whole thing took all day but was ok.
Back in work today. Wish I hadn't bothered as it's been depressing and the weather is ****e.

A very close friend of mine dropped a bottle of Brandy off before xmas so Iv'e necked a couple of doubles for the first drink of the year....bravo..
Great to chill without a care tonight, amazing how better music sounds through the headphones with a bit of alcohol and dry roasted peanuts..

Yeah had a great time with my 3 year old mate, really special seeing his face in the morning which will live with me forever.
