You were 1-0 up against Chelsea twice and drew one and lost the other, we were in our worst run of form and there for the taking and drew but should have won. 2-1 up against WBA at home and lost. Lost 3-1 to Blackpool when they were in free-fall. To your credit you picked up several points from losing positions, i.e Sunderland away, Liverpool at home, Arsenal at home.

United were 3-1 up in the 90th minute and threw it away by conceding 2 stoppage time goals, Arsenal were torn to pieces when they did that against you guys.

We were 1-0 up against you twice and none of your goals should've counted.
    That's not mental weakness, it's **** refereeing.

We didn't lose to West Brom either, we drew.

Pool lack coordinated movement thro mid-field and will struggle against top teams and teams such as Stoke who crowd and close down fast in mid-field
Gooners?? that is the worst gooner performance in terms of individual skills and worse in terms of winning attitude for many years

    Pool top six
    Gooners mid-table

You went 1-0 up due to shocking officiating in which Defoe should have been flagged offside and at SB you went 1-0 to shocking officiating whereby a throw should have been awarded to us, your goal resulted in that poor call.

Officiating was bad for both sides. At WHL, Gomes should have been red carded and had he been we would have taken a penalty against an outfield Spurs player. At SB, we had a clear penalty not given which would have resulted in a red card for Younes Kaboul

Our goal at WHL shouldn't have been given, I admit that.
Our goal at Stamford Bridge was fine, though.
It came off your man last.

Your delusions about Gomes getting a red card, when your player was clearly going well wide and some mythical penalty at Stamford Bridge are wonderful but baseless, I'm afraid.

Feel free to use the term 'shocking officiating' for any decision that goes against you, though.
It makes you seem extremely credible.

It wasn't, Ramires would simply of had to tap the ball into an empty net which he is more than capable of doing, it was a goalscoring opportunity. Leon Barnett got sent off for the exact same thing yesterday.

It has been proven that the ref/officials were bad in both games, even if you believe your goal should have stood we were still denied an absolute cast iron penalty and what would have been a certain red card. I actually thought at WHL more of the 50/50 decisions seemed to go your way, but at SB more of the 50/50s went your way so it evened itself out

Great picture of Kaboul clearly playing the ball, DL.
    Well done.

    Ramires was going well wide.
    Not a clear goalscoring opportunity.

Yes, the 3 goals that you scored all should've been denied, but it was a very even bit of officiating. <doh>

He didn't touch the ball and even if he did he took man before ball, that is a foul.

The 2 goals we scored at SB should have been chalked off, but there was nothing wrong with our goal at WHL, it was proven to have been controlled by his chest

The picture doesn't make it appear that way.
If you've got a clip, then it might be convincing.

Drogba clearly used his arm to control the ball.
    Don't be ridiculous.

Lovely picture. Who's the guy in the Red & White striped shirt, by the way?? Certainly not a picture from the Chelsea - Spurs game, but nice try!

4th place contenders? on last night's performance, you've got to be joking right?

Any Premier league team is difficult to break down when you're playing in 2nd gear, but as soon as we stepped it up a level Spurs were no match for us. A poor performance and yet more evidence of the lack of squad depth at Spurs. I would not be at all surprised if Arsenal's threadbare squad give us more of a contest at the weekend.

Using Spurs' fans own logic to asses Spurs' chances this season, they'll be lucky to finish mid-table.

Typically biased "assessment". We were your equals for an hour, and if we had had any sort of decent strikeforce, we could have easily been in front; and you'd have had few complaints. What is not acceptable, as I have put on another thread, is the way we just threw the towel in after the first goal.

If I was a Utd fan, I wouldn't get too exicted by last night. As I said we were more than your equals fo two thirds of the game. Then, for some unexplicable reason, we just gave up.

I pretty much agree with everything you said.

I don't even think 4th will be a contest this season as Liverpool will get it, it will be more a question of who gets into Europe and occupies the 5th and 6th spots, if Villa can lower their wage bill and get rid of a few of their older players and spend the cash, there is no reason why they can't be up there, if he managed to take Birmingham to 9th and win them a Carling Cup the next year given the poor attacking options they had there is no reason why he can't at least get Villa fighting for 6th-8th. and maybe win a cup <ok>

Absolute, and total, biased bollocks!! I repeat, we more than matched you for two thirds of the game. You had a cutting edge that we lacked, and thus scored first - after which, we just, unforgiveably, capitulated. Given a proper strikeforce, we could easily have been in front, and you would have had no complaints.
The reason I said don't get too excited is because not many teams will just roll over after going 1-0 down, like we did last night. Had Sandro and/or Gallas and King been available, the result would have been far closer.

Pacy players blatantly don't thrive... Walker, Lennon and Bale?
