Quite exciting this, we don’t normally get a lower league draw (Sheffield Utd and Leeds strong championship sides and Millwall when we were as low as we’ve been for ages).

Hopefully we see some youngsters get a chance whilst being strong enough

I guess Hamer will play

Would love to see Knight and Hughes at CB but both yougesters would be too risky I guess. Defence maybe
Amartey, Knight or Hughes, Chilwell (if recovered)

Silva and King (maybe Choudhury for King if again, not so risky with the amount of youngsters)

Thomas Okazaki Barnes

Slimani or Iheanacho

I reckon Puel will blood some u23’s but Knight, Hughes, Choudhury, Thomas and Barnes is probably too many

Hamer

Amartey Huth Benalouane Chilwell

Thomas (is he a winger?) James Choudhury Musa

Ulloa Ihenacho

Gives an opportunity for some vital minutes for some first team players on the periphery

A few injuries have taken its toll on the defence. Wes Morgan and Danny Simpson will miss out. Ben Chilwell should have overcome his illness, Jamie Vardy is expected to be rested after missing Huddersfield due to an injury. So here is what I would go with

Hamer

Amartey
Dragovic
Benalouane
Chilwell

Gray
Silva
King
Barnes

Iheanacho
Slimani

Subs- Jakupovic, Maguire, James, Choudhury, Thomas, Musa

Puel has said both Adrien Silva and Matty James need minutes so expect them both to start

Good news on Wes Morgan is his injury isnt as bad as feared but he will still miss a few weeks. Saturday comes too early for Robert Huth

... not wanting to throw a spanner in the works re Wes ... but I thought we looked a lot better defensively on Saturday AFTER Wes had gone off <whistle>

[HASHTAG]#LCFC[/HASHTAG] XI to face Fleetwood Town: Jakupovic, Chilwell, Gray, King, Silva, Dragovic, Amartey, Slimani, James, Benalouane, Barnes.

Absolutely awful match, lucky we held on for a draw. Struggled to stay awake. No creativity, no desire.

Fleetwood keeper gets a year's supply of free pizza for his clean sheet. That's the most exciting thing to report.
