Cristiano Ronaldo has asked for his release fee to be £89M - in the know???? He's actually coming <diva><diva><diva><diva>

Leaves us £1M for 3 loan signings as well - all hail our glorious Fat Man.

Wouldn’t break my heart but only after the replacement is signed first and bearing in mind we could probably do with another good midfielder anyway. We going to sign two? Hmm I don’t think so so he stays for me.

Don't care what anyone else says - a disgusting human being and he can leave our club as soon as possible.

Would you be gutted if we signed Suarez?

Fair enough. I'd take Lee Hughes if he'd keep us up

The problem we will have this window is that Rafa will have access to any funds generated............. but, Penfold will try to scrape every last penny from a deal, genuinely thinking that he is doing a good job, and it will be too late to replace anyone because he will drag it on for so long.

There is no point Shelvey or Mitro going in the last few days of then window, because it will just leave us short handed. If we need to generate a transfer kitty it needs to be done in the first week of the window, not the last.

Face it fellas, its the same useless ****s in Charnley and Ashley that are handling this................. why do you think that this January window will be any different from the last few. I can seriously see us struggling to sign anybody that will actually make a difference and we will be a shoe-in for relegation.

Rafa is not the man to keep us up.............. there, i said it!!

Exactly. You don’t want ****s who ruin morale but someone like Suarez is great quality and gets in with everyone. So you take the ****ish behaviour towards the oppo on the chin. Shelvey is a **** to the oppo but doesn’t cause issues in the squad.

I actually don’t rate him. I think he is a low end of the PL footballer. Merino is better than that. However Hayden is Championship. Colback is Championship. Saivet is unknown. So just looking at our squad I don’t like the idea of selling your 2nd best central midfielder without a replacement. Regardless if he can be a bit ****ish to the oppo or not. Shearer was a **** to the oppo, just a bit more clever at it than Shelvey. Cantona and Keane were total ****ers. I’d have taken them all day long.

    Excellent last two posts.

Fact is we promoted the U-21 scout - with his "impressive" record of finding precisely NO first team players - and have added no execs, no senior scouts. We have literally no idea what we're doing.

Rafa's going to plump for some top end cast offs. There'll be no Papiss Cisse type arrival, we'll just bring in at best two players, probably along the lines of Ings & Kenedy, then ship out Mitrovic on loan and possibly sell Shelvey to West Ham.

Genuinely, that's the capacity of Lee Charnley. And he'll think he's done well. Ashley couldn't give a fck.

Not that rumours are the be all and end all, but should we be concerned that the usual pattern has emerged once again? Not really linked with anyone bar Tosun, who - like Abraham before him - is clearly destined for elsewhere, no apparent plan b and certainly no urgency??

I don't really understand what Lee Charnley does with his time. We seem to get to every window with the same complete lack of any discernible plan scrabbling around to see who fits the budget. We should be one of the very first movers in the window due to our widely-regarded abysmal Summer activity and should have a striker by Saturday. Just doesn't feel like we will, once again.

Don't know who by, I've been slated since he came in for trying to be positive about him.

To be fair the scouting system means jack when the ineptitude of Charnley is factored in.

    Not slated by me!

True enough on Charnley. It was Llambchop who was in charge when the bargains were coming in regularly - Ba, Cisse, Cabaye, Ben Arfa, Tiote, Debuchy. I've said it many times, I genuinely think Charnley doesn't even start working on transfers til the window opens.

To be fair mate I understand the slating, It's Steve Nickson ffs!
But like you say, If one man intends to spend his January, in his office, still furiously ****ing to the sales of Wij, Sissoko and the wage bill being halved, it doesn't matter who we have scouting because we're infinitely destined for Ings on loan.

It's very quiet on the news of any incomings. No links at all really. I don't think we are in a position to sell anyone unless we have got new faces lined up.

Is this some kind of fcking joke?

    http://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/spor...astle-united-waiting-chelsea-signing-14103823

Are we that fcking pathetic as a club all we can do is go over the same, tired **** time and time again knowing the outcome will be bad???????

Christ, I want to slam ****ing Charnley's bald heed into a brick wall. Repeatedly.

I think some clubs us included have been totally thrown by this change in the transfer market. Even some that spend big have found it difficult to plan changes to the squad. Aside from the heavy hitters clubs like Burnley / Brighton who have always had to be savvy with their purchases have faired better.

Huddersfield quick out of the blocks with Terence Kongolo on loan. Won't really count Leicester's Adrien Silva signing.

Wonder how long we'll be waiting.
