The skill level in darts is unbelievable these days , back in the day when ***s and beer were allowed I can see why it was a joke , but it is serious business these days- the top guys spend 6-8 hours a day in the practice room , 400k for the winner of this years World championships, Van Gerwen earnt over 1 million last year, that is some hobby .
Oh it's gone off twitter. I've not been censored. Fair play that Jackie Wilson is still there.
My ex-wifes parents lived round the corner from a pub he owned in Stoke. I always found him to be an alright bloke to be fair. I met him at least a dozen or more times.
I'm never that bothered about the 'is something a sport' debate. If people watch it and play it competitively like a sport then to them it is. Others can think what they want, but they won't care less.
Spot on...apart from formula 1 of course which is simply a test of engineering while little people drive the cars round in circles so they can find out which engineers are the best at engineering
why are they so fat though?
surely if they were athletic they would be even better? sharper brain, calmer heart rate
if you had a man that was just incredibly, fitter than anyone else, say a biologically engineered man, he would win the cycling every time
it's not a skilled event, hence why it's notorious for drug cheats

Hamilton won three times as many races as Bottas in exactly the same car.
Vettel came second in the drivers Championship with 5 wins, Raikkonen got just over half the points and didn’t win a single race, in exactly the same car.
You certainly need one of the best cars to be in the running to win the Championship, but you need to be the best driver to actually win it.
There's a lot of tactics in cycling, and its competitive. Its a sport.
