Doesn't sound very German :(
That's probably because he's 'Cuban born' - "The Cuban-born former German youth international joined Braunschweig on a free transfer from Wolfsburg in the summer of 2016 and has impressed for his current side over the last 18 months, scoring six goals and providing seven assists in 54 appearances for the club."

With the 'swooping', 'snapping up' silly season upon us, this makes slightly worrying reading:
They'd better have a well filled 'war-chest', that's all I can say.

Oliveira to Wolves (£10m) Jerome (£2m) to one of at least 4 other clubs. I will not be sorry to see CJ go but who is going to replace him? A substancial offer for Oliveira will be accepted this time round as will sizeable offers for both Maddison and Pritchard. These two look more likely to score than either Murphy or Oliveira at the moment. Any League 1 strikers looking the deal at the moment? Just had a quick look on BBC Sport and the Peterborough lad Marriott looks in good form with 17 goals this season so far. Possibly not the lone striker type?

Oliveira for 10m would be a great result. I don't see any sense, financial or otherwise in selling Madison this window. He's on a long contract, his wages aren't going to kill us and I can only see his star and value rising over the remainder of the season. Only fly in the ointment could be if someone offers silly money coupled with a loan back until the end of the season.

At his stage of development, only lower PL teams would likely buy him and PLAY him. The rest would already have foreign internationals in place, so his game time would be severely limited. Why would he even contemplate joining a team in the last, say, eight places as he could easily find himself back in the championship in a few weeks. but the only teams likely to be willing to pay his real worth are those in the upper reaches. I can imagine a Palace offering £8m or so.

If we sold both strikers. I think the board would say there is no money for replacements.

Can Madders play striker?

Interesting that Farke said in his post match interview with Canary call that he was under NO financial pressure to sell players.
