Plus, if we don't already have a replacement lined up, then the 11 day PL break after the Palace game would come in handy in terms of finding a replacement.
I may have worded it badly, but this was basically my point - Saints rarely do things quickly or in a rushed manner, so if there is a mid season managerial change, they would probably want to do it with a gap in the fixtures.

I used to be sad viewing that because we woz robbed at Wembley....now I feel sad because we lost Puel.

Ps. still enjoy seeing that goal though.:)

I know what you mean, but I can’t quite get myself to the point that I think Claude was right for us either. He didn’t deserve to be sacked, and he’s better than MP2, but I’m not convinced he was the right man for this club either.

Two wrongs don’t make a Reed.

I cannot believe that Puel (in his 2nd season) wouldn't be better than MP2 though. Ignoring MP2's quality or lack of it, Puel had had a season in the PL and a pretty good season as well. He would have learned from that. The team would realise that he had the support of the board and any dissenters would have to have knuckled down.

With the talk of some squad members not happy to be here etc, and rumours of possible incomings, what must Gardos and Bedenak be thinking , and whyever can they not be offered even a dog's chance of some playing time.. ?

Agree Fran, Puel would have been better than MP2 but the crowd had turned against him as evidenced at the final game of the season and the crowd will be after MP2 at the Palace game too

Gardos is happy on 30k a week and never actually playing. Plus he can't actually defend.

The fans would be fine if we had a decent start to the season.....I find it hard to believe that Puel would be worse than MP2, though of course we wouldn't have MP2 to compare him with. Just think.... we could be getting pissed off at only being 6th at the moment because we aren't exciting enough. o_O
