wouldnt it be great to have a cup run this year, and i think we have a great chance of winning it if we play our strongest side, with the bigger sides putting out there second string, also this is a great way of playing in europe and with the team bruce has at the moment this would be our only chance of getting in europe because in my opinion we havnt got a chance of getting in the top 6! We lose tonight then lose at swansea on saturday with brucey not getting any players in, i would say bye bye mr bruce!
 
I think it's gone beyond a desire for a cup run now... I think Brucey needs one to win some fans back. Need to be getting into the quarter final of the League cup or the sixth round of the FA cup...

Very tough game tonight at Brighton who are storming the fizzy pop at the minute, early days I know but a team full of confidence (I'm told by many that confidence is the key to winning games and not skill) against a team full of very little of anything. Either way we are on a hiding to nothing we win and we should have, we lose and it's team in turmoil etc. etc.
Although a cup run would be a very nice I fear SB will again "take the cups seriously" which in layman's terms means a weakened team. This cup is I reckon our best chance of even a glimpse of European football until we sign Messi et al so lets go for it, win by whatever it takes as bonnybobby says anything as long as it's a win.
 
Bruce is from this area and he knows the importance of the derby games but he seems to have forgotten just how much 73 means to us and a cup would mean history for him with our club, Newcastle defeats fade.......yes even 5 to 1 defeats!!!...............but cups are forever so im always surprised with the attitude he approaches them. This year let it be different and if we see a good result and more importantly a good display we may get a large crowd if the next round is at home. HAWAY THE LADS!!!!
