90mil is a lot for potential. What's he done to warrant that? That's double the Keita money and nearly 3 times what Salah cost. For that amount he better show up. Buy him tho, **** it why not!

Virgil van Dijk linked with LFC and City as rumours resurface Southampton left Virgil van Dijk out of their matchday squad on Saturday, further intensifying rumours the defender is set to leave the club in January. Transfer links to Liverpool and Manchester City have resurfaced in the past weeks with van Dijk reportedly eager to finally seal a move away from Southampton. Van Dijk failed to force a switch in the summer, despite refusing to play for the club and issuing a public statement detailing his desire to leave. The centre-back is a target of the Premier League leaders and the belief is City are leading the race for his signature. Van Dijk was welcomed back into the Southampton first-team by Mauricio Pellegrino earlier in the season, but the Netherlands international was dropped completely from the latest Saints’ squad. Southampton take on Huddersfield, but Van Dijk was a noticeable absentee from the 18-man squad and his absence sparked further transfer speculation on social media. The club have yet to confirm whether Van Dijk is injured or has been left out for other reasons. It is the second game in a row Van Dijk has not made the starting eleven as the 26-year-old watched from the bench for Southampton’s game against Chelsea last week. Pellegrino denied before the game the club had opened talks with City over a deal for Van Dijk. ‘I was with (Southampton vice-chairman) Les Reed talking about that but nobody knows about that,’ Pellegrino said. ‘I know Virgil is an important player and around him will be a lot of speculation like other important players in the squad. ‘I cannot control this and I don’t want to talk about it.’ Source: Metro
With city winnng pretty much wrapping up the title this weekend could go one of two ways. Go ans buy big in Jan to strengthen squad to go all out for CL. Or stick with what they have to not upset the Apple cart. VVD wouldn’t be cup tied for them, could see them going all out for him
Imo they will be out to win all the trophies so league cup and fa cup will be big priority. I would be very interested to know what is supposedly wrong with vvd as i heard he was fit this weekend. If he has been taken out a deal on 1st Jan might well have been all agreed.
The itk types on the south coast are saying vvd is to be sold so is out of team. They don't know where yet. All the saints blowhards are desperate for it to be city.. the bitters are desperate to have something to laugh at us over Me? I really don't care right now.
After watching him since his injury I really hope you buy him, in fact I was hoping they would have taken your money in the summer before the effects of the injury became apparent
Tbh, looking at what he has done thus far I hope he's just unmotivated and over weight due to a crap manager and we get him for 30mil. But... you could be right. He could be affected bybit. And you are right saints should have sold in summer, I think they have lost 30mil on him
That should be true but you never know if City are involved. They could have already agreed a price and asked him to protect himself.
Maybe. I think Southampton have had issue with the manager and the whole training alone saga meant he got no real preseason. Anything could be going on. City wanted Evans last summer. Was that a fall back position for them? Who knows. But it looks to me vvd might be in a medical on new years day
It sure does. He walks into league medal, prob league cup as well min and double the wages of anywhere else. We would all do the same.
