My comment on the change in passports was a little tongue in cheek as I'm not that bothered.
However, it is quite amusing seeing the remainers on here getting their patronising knickers in a twist over it.:emoticon-0136-giggl

I can’t speak for anyone else but it’s the cost that grates on me more than anything. I honestly doubt 90% of people suddenly demanding a blue passport knew about them two days ago.

It won’t cost anything more, the passports would have been changed in 5 years anyway.

Fair enough Col, you rebel tinker you.

Though in my own defence I genuinely didn’t know that we could have had them blue all along, and I am not looking forward to the longer queues. The nature of the passport itself is of course meaningless.

Enjoy the match and I hope your tendinitis is getting better.

Fair enough. Doesn’t sound like much of a Brexit win then. I’d like to know how this £500m gets broken down. I’d do it for just £450m.

I see Boris has been telling those meddlesome Russkies off. Love to know what favours he returned in private for them using their influence in a way so favoured by the people. Or how he kept a straight face while denouncing them.

As a remainer who has never called for a rerun can I ask the Brexiteers this question. If it was proved that the people were gulled into voting to leave by Russian meddling would you want a rerun? If as I suspect the answer was No, why not?

Only answers which answer the exact questions I asked will be accepted.

I am in Europe at the moment. I haven't had much internet but I have seen a few posts re passports.
My EU one is only 1 year old....I will pay to get a blue one at any time and cannot wait.
Had a good chance to see loads of stuff out here and spoke to lots of people. I can only say the quicker we leave this failing organization the better.
I waited at a supermarket check out in France for 15 minutes while people paid with CHEQUES! I do not joke...Cheques FFS! The whole system is f22ked and slow. I will be off to other places in the coming weeks and will give my full review.

An interesting question, Yorkie. I’m interested in understanding precisely how Russia gulled (new word on me, thanks) a significant enough proportion of the electorate into voting ‘leave’, presuming said proportion of the electorate would’ve voted ‘remain’ without this meddling.

I’d love to think that the Leave vote was influenced by nefarious foreign machinations, but just like Trump’s election, clearly it wasn’t. Unless the £350m a week for the NHS on the side of a bus (more funding for public services was apparently a significant factor in Leave voting) was Putin’s idea. They probably have tried a bit, and certainly gave money to Banks and Farage, but I just don’t believe it had a significant impact. And even if it did it isn’t provable. I think that there were enough people who had genuine issues with the EU, and a lot more who don’t like their own lives and were conned by our very own home grown charlatans into thinking that leaving would make them somehow better.

The Russians are of course delighted with the mayhem created by the result though.

  13. The Russians are entirely to blame. David Cameron was produced in a laboratory in a basement in the Kremlin - it's about the only plausible explanation for him being such a muppet.

The Federalists in Brussels and failures dealing with the immigration crisis coming from the Middle East have have done far more in creating deep fissures in the EU than ever the Russians have done. And Brexit may not even be the deepest fissure. There's a huge row developing between west and east EU over enforced immigration, with Poland and Hungary up for the fight. EU tolerance over Spanish state violence in Catalonia, and the latest majority pro-autonomy vote seem to have left Juncker without an answer. A fascist party taken into government in Austria. Merkel facing rebellion in Germany and so far unable to form a government. Chronic Greek indebtedness to Central Bank. Increasing signs of a refugee crisis in Sweden and Northern Europe. The rise of the Five Star movement in Italy with elections coming up (a recent survey showed that less than 40% thought membership of the EU was beneficial). Indeed, anti-EU movements increasing all over the EU, the rise of national populism facing up to EU anti-democratic elitism and the lobbing of multinational companies.

These problems have been caused or exacerbated by the EU federalists. The Common Market was a decent idea. An overbearing, federal Europe stinks.

Really? When I lived there you hand the blank cheque to the cashier and they print it for you... takes about 30 seconds.

Well remember you have been brainwashed as a consumer ... no time to wait

I would take the French banking system anyday over what we have in the U.K.

So you base the whole system being finished because of a cheque

Your review I guarantee will be rubbish

I went out to Beziers today most shops closed
    Refreshing and non greedy

70% off Clark’s shoes look I saw as the sales started five days before Xmas ... how thick can the U.K. public be? They can’t even see the insult
