its at least 50 mil too low. 200mil at minimum is the starting fee for players out of england now. these clubs need to wake up. he's on a contact with no release.
Atletico reporting Barca to Fifa over Griezmann. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/42412775 Barca have been talking to his family apparently. Sounds exactly the same as the approach for Ford, stir up interest with the player (via back channels) so making a bid is easier. Think football needs to move forward and act like professionals (and I include us in that). Player meetings (agents and family included) should only happen after a bid is made, then if the player in question wants to take if further (should a bid be rejected) then things should progress from there. Needs clear rules setting out from Fifa, imo.
I know the market has gone crazy but not THAT crazy. The Neymar price was based on his release clause which supposed to have been set at a ridiculously high price. Obvioulsy not high enough for a PSG desperate for some glitter. As good as Salah is I wouldn't put him in Neymar's class, not just yet anyway. Real's MO is to turn the player's head first by their saying he is a great player and would be a great addition to any squad, this leads to the player expressing his wishes to play at the highest level and "win trophies". This softens the price and eventually leads to the player leaving despite the club stating they are not willing to sell.
my rationale: 1. 120mil min for coutinho 2. english league can pay 35mil for ox on less than a 12 month contract 3. more moeny being lumped on all the time 4. no release clause in england Seriously if real want to shop in england the games don't really work. You have to pony up. They can turn any head they want but at 34 mil and about 100k a week we could actually break salah by not playing him for 5 years and it'd only be like us having sturridge injured. I've not seen a price soften in a long time, not that many players are good enough for those clubs. Modric, bale, ronaldo all went for big money. the alli's kanes, salahas, and coutinhos are all on long contracts with no releases.
Spot on but I don't think that it will stop the two Spanish giants working like they do. It's a well trodden path for them.
Manchester United have made an approach to sign Lazio defender Stefan De Vrij, according to reports in Italy. Liverpool winger Harry Wilson has turned down a new deal at Anfield, sources close to the club have told ESPN FC. Wilson, 20, has been impressing for Liverpool at Premier League 2 level this term, scoring nine goals and assisting three in 10 appearances to help them to the top of the table.
if we just ignore it it'd make all our lives easier. as in fans who can't do anything but listen to the crap and endlessly talk about it.
Liverpool receive boost with January transfer target 'Stefan De Vrij cold on new Lazio contract' Jurgen Klopp is looking for an alternative should Southampton continue to dig their heels over Vigil van Dijk Sadio Mane: Liverpool FC are signing an unbelievable player in 2018 Sadio Mane admits that Naby Keita will be an unbelievable signing for Liverpool FC next summer
I think his agent has been wanting a move for 2 years. My first question now for all of these is "who's put this out" and form that if its not clear I assume theres nothing to it. eg. did an agent put this out? did a hack make it up? Is there a source on the sky sports understands? for me 90% are people getting their own name out there to either drum up business or a new contract etc.
The sad thing is, our scouts work hard to identify players and we bought them, after one year Barcelona or Real Madrid want them. Shame !.
once the contract is signed tough though. it's rough all the way up the food chain. at least we as top top club only have a very select few.apex predators to worry about. others have to worry about the whole prem eying their crop. having players good enough to be sought after is a food problem no?
Barcelona ‘ready to pay £132m in instalments’ for Coutinho Barcelona have accepted that they will have to pay £132m for Philippe Coutinho and make him the second most expensive footballer in the world. Their pursuit is now said by Spanish newspaper Sport to be entering the ‘final stretch’, with the Brazilian’s representatives and Barcelona ‘planning the assault’ on Liverpool. Coutinho has been excellent since Liverpool refused a series of bids from Barcelona in the summer, deserving his place on our top ten players of 2017 list. He is reported to be ready to push again for a move to Barcelona, who are currently six points clear at the top of La Liga. Wages of £204,000 a week have apparently already been agreed. Potential Barcelona teammate and fellow Brazilian Paulinho said: “Everyone expects the great players to come to Barcelona, we have a very strong group of great players, without Coutinho people are doing a great job. “On Coutinho it is not necessary to say much; he is a great player, who has been making a difference in his team, in the Brazilian team, he is young but with experience in Europe. “I want him to come, I think it would be a great signing for Barça. It would be a great happiness for me, because we would have another great player and another Brazilian.” http://bleacherreport.com/articles/...erpool-reportedly-agree-philippe-coutinho-fee
