I like a good wall to stare at ernie. I had a four hour meeting on Friday morning, I was hung over from the night before, with the most boring people I think I've ever met. There was a brick wall right opposite me, above the boring cows head. Smashing it was. Only thing that kept me from stabbing them all.
It's an underrated form of therapy, Chazz, it really is. Could save the NHS a fortune if they'd only provide walls on prescription rather than so-called cognitive behavioural therapy. Walls don't cost owt, woolly talking therapists must be on a fortune. Common sense when you think about it.
Agreed Ernie, a couple of courses of brickwork would be far more effective than people pointing out the obvious. I reckon there's mortar this than meets the eye.
Thanks for this Ern, my granddaughter is going to study psychology at uni, I’m going to tell her to do bricklaying instead
It'd be nice if artex came back into fashion. I had many bearable hours at the mother in laws staring at the swirls on the walls .even the stippled ceiling was nice in a Jesus Christ why did I meet her daughter kind of way.
I'm talking about ya wall in situ, Den. Ya pre-loved wall, ya previously used wall, ya hand-me-down wall, ya nearly new wall, ya free to a good home wall. I don't advocate the building of brand new therapy walls. Didn't work for the Romans. Nor the Chinese. Nor the East Germans, come to think of it. It's upcycling or nowt. Someone has to think of the future of the planet.
Question. Is a dwarf wall a wall for keeping in dwarfs or a short wall enabling dwarfs to look over it. Just need to know as it's a dwarfy time of year and I could meet one at one of the many functions that I will be attending.
In either case it's heightist. The more enlightened of us now refer to them as Porg walls. As in Persons of Restricted Growth walls. And it's nowt to do with alien seabirds neither before the young geeks start up with their mithering and grumbling.
