Your goalie made one mistake and it cost him. He was brilliant otherwise.

He still looks like Timmy out of South Park tho.

Timmy? You sure? Can't say I agree.

Your correct about the mistake though, his performance also kept the score from being 4 or 5 today.

I wonder, would people prefer to spend £15m on an attacking midfielder in January, or £15m a year persuading Tuchel to give it a crack.

The good news is that the terriers were not good against Watford. They were rough, ragged and lucky. But they fought hard and pushed the whole game, scoring four goals. I suspect they will come at us in the same way they came at Watford. Hopefully the officials will be better than they were this weekend and if we play the side and the style we showed against Everton we could win easy.

Fair!

Our talent base is lacking a defining positive trait, then.

That was my sarcastic way of saying I agree. We're unbalanced in the sense of the squad doesn't fit together, and in the sense that we have two strikers and neither has been consistently very good. And we're going into the bit of the season that having a small squad is most painful for. Anyway, I'd still be amazed if MP left.

Neither of those inconsistent strikers has ever had consistent service. Because we are unbalanced. We need a Morgan Schneiderlin type box to box midfielder more than we need a striker imo. Maybe Lemina can be that man, maybe Romeu can, but both seem to have gone backwards in the last month or so.

It’s a bit harsh to say Lemina has gone backwards. He’s not had a run of consecutive games in the team.

Putting Tuchel specifically to one side, it's the problem with this downward spiral of ours over the last 18 months. We're a PL club (and now an established one at that), so of course we're going to be attractive to a degree. But are we as attractive now as we were in the summer? Were we as attractive in the summer as we were the previous summer?

And unfortunately, there is a risk that we won't be as attractive in 6 months time as we are now...

I’m not convinced that’s really an issue if you consider the type of players we normally go for and the ones we normally could attract. I still say we have as good, if not better, appeal to those clubs around us (size). We’re unlikely to go and sign a seriously big name anyway.

We’re in the PL and the money is usually enough to attract the players we look for.

I was more referring to managers.

I'd be interested to see our 5 at the back formation against one of the teams around us. Betrand and Cedric will likely be able to get higher up the pitch as will our midfielders so might not be as defensive as we would expect.

I was shocked to see Hojberg taken off, another good game from him. Can someone remind Redmond how to turn on the ball and run at the opposition?!
