You can't expect much from a player who comes on with only a few minutes left, but you don't expect him to hide the way Reeves did. We were crying out for a bit of guile round about the penalty box, and Reeves has the technique for that. But not, I'd say, the heart.

Reeves was clearly saving his energy for last night. Poor signing and looks a poor person as well. Next time he is “injured” we can remember his train dancing.

It is good to see Ben Reeves is now fit enough to be paralytic on a train last night
after the Portsmouth defeat.

Looking at the video, Reeves seems to be celebrating something? Perhaps he has just opened his pay slip and is incredulous.

You would have thought the Club would have offered him a lowish basic with high appearance fees..... based on his fitness record? I wonder why no other Clubs made him a contract offer during the summer?

Aribo would be first choice no10 for me, Clarke had a few good games but has done nothing for about 3 months. Reeves is too injury prone to get in to any sort of form so I’ll imagine his contribution to our season will be a load of cameos in which he does nothing - like yesterday.

A motivated Reeves was the type of player we needed yesterday. It's not as if he's just useless, and that's the pity. If he had the attitude of a Morgan Fox he'd be an asset.

I probably got nearer to the ball than Reeves, and I'm 7,000 miles away!

He has zero influence it seems. As fans under the RD regime we are used to that of course, but he is a player (or supposed to be one).
I don't know what's wrong with him but we have no time to indulge his inner search for a mojo.

We really did not need a proper player like Holmes to be missing for the Blackburn game. And I don't care how many sideways passes we completed or other sqwarking nonsense.
Reeves is not doing it.

Reeves had a good game yesterday. He certainly owes us.

The Milky Bar Kid is getting a bit of a slating on CL & Twitter tonight - someone gave him 2/10 along with comments like “a massive let down” and damningly...

“He doesn’t look fit”

Thoughts on Reeves from those there today?

In the first half Blackpool sat quite deep and given Reeves' dislike of the physical side of the game I expected him to be quite influential, but he was ineffectual. Second half Blackpool got tight on us hedisappeared, except for when he made a dog's breakfast of a clear scoring chance.
