no-one tells him how to run his business, he won't allow it - aint going to happen folks - he wont even call the team manager a manager, he's head coach - the pair of them micro manage the club to the nth degree, there's no way they're going to hand over the reins and not want to be involved in every decision - just another bullshit statement just like everything else that dribbles out of their gobs

Summary of the Hull City Supporters Committee Meeting Thursday 14th December 2017

A short agenda, a lengthy but productive session and almost a full suite of supporter representatives as well as Dr AssemAllam and EhabAllam amongst other Club officials.

Worth noting that Ehab stated on more than one occasion throughout the meeting, “Rome wasn’t built in a day” and that as a group, we should be “looking for a long term solution, not a quick fix”, but also that he accepted that whilst decisions had been made in the best interests of the Club, mistakes had been made specifically in terms of communications and in not fully understanding the fans’ perspectives, but that there is a desire to listen.

    Concessionary pricing.

Much repetition of the points made at the previous meeting, (see prior report) with the main point being that the reason the membership scheme was brought in was to prevent the abuse that existed through the misuse of concessionary ticketing, and not to price anyone out of attending matches. The actions taken away were as follows:

All to re-review & feedback the offer of concessionary pricing proposed by Ehab last month – link attached:- https://www.hullcitytigers.com/media/6952/match-categories-and-ticket-prices-all-cat-2.pdf

Club to look to extend the above into the membership scheme, not just one off match ticket purchases.

Club to review a proposal handed out at the meeting from the Supporters Trust.

Club to investigate whether concessions only turnstiles would adversely impact “flow rates” which are a health and safety standards.

    Club Branding

It was accepted that historically, the Club has not had good control over its brand and that many of the issues including email addresses, website name, have been as they are now since before the Allam family purchased the Club. Much discussion around the current crest / club badge – the owners do not like the current badge and are keen to involve supporters in making a change to it for the start of the 18/19 season. Actions agreed:

Club to engage with fans around the design of a new crest

Club to send out summary brand guidelines to meeting attendees to aid feedback as to suggested amendments and in what circumstances to use what wording. All therefore to feedback accordingly.

    Other Business

Progress on Sale of Club- the Club remains for sale. The asking price reflects the investment made by the Allamsand the current market rate. Since the Allams declared their desire to sell the Club, significant investment has been made including: renewed lighting at the ground, the purchase as opposed to rental of big screens, a new pitch and at the training ground, 1 of the pitches now has undersoil heating an automated irrigation.

There was interest at the beginning of the season around purchasing the club, but the results on the pitch have seen that interest wain.

With regards to prior interest, both Ehab and Dr Allam stated that deals had not fallen through on price.

Dr Allam however did state that should a buyer not be secured by the end of the current season, then the Club would be handed to a firm of accountants to legally run the Club on the family’s behalf until a buyer is found.

Match-day commentary – the termination of the arrangement with the BBC to provide match-day commentary is recognised to be unpopular with fans, however, Ehab stated that re-engagement with the Corporation is not out of the question in the future.

Supporters Committee – it was agreed the current representation continue in post until the end of the 2017/18 football season.

Next Meeting – will take place in early February following the transfer window activity.

I didn’t write the report. During meetings it has been previously stated that Assem Allam is referred to as Dr Allam or The Chairman.
If that is all that concerns you out of this report, well words fail me.

    Why are you asking me?
It’s a report of the meeting, that is published on the OSC. If I posted the BBC weather report for today would you ask me what type of clouds there are going to be?

Did you think they would roll over and change it all back on day one?
Either they do want to change gradually or its all a delaying sham.
I'd like to know how those there feel about it, what's their gut feeling on the Allams? Stalling, negotiaitingbullshitting what ?

I have plenty to say about it, but the report is a summary written by someone else and your question was aimed at me.
Just for the record “I” have not said it was a productive meeting.

The concession proposal which some thought was a forthcoming change was put out before the last meeting, it was discussed then and now again at this meeting and is on the agenda for the next meeting in February. I have seen nothing that says there will be concessions next season, that looks like a delaying tactic to me.

On the branding, some on here were sure a step forward would be taken at the meeting, after all it is the easiest thing to fix just commit to use the name Hull City. Nothing concrete was put forward, another promise of the existing brand guidelines to be circulated to members for discussion at the next meeting in February, and the more time spent talking about possible badge changes. That also looks like a delaying tactic to me.

Sorry I can't see anything positive or productive about it, especially when it would be so easy for the club to make a giant step forwards in supporter / club relations.

And I aren't disagreeing with that.
I'm asking those who were there, what's their gut feeling?
Everything you say is quite easy but this is the Allams. They do things their way. So it was never going to be roll over was it. That would be naive.

If I see anything that refers to him as a doctor, then yes you're correct, I'd totally stop reading as soon as I came across that. Like it or not I prefer items that I read to be accurate, referring to him as a doctor is totally inaccurate so I wouldn't waste my time reading it.
