Im just going off memory and i always remember him playing as a right sided midfielder. We rarely played anything other than 442 those days.

I thought he moved into the middle when McCann did his ankle and was out for a long spell, came into his own there if I remember. Could be wrong mind.

My memories very vague mate. Like insaid i only remember him right sided. We had Eric Roy the frenchman who played central mid alot that season aswell.

Why on god's green earth would we need him to beat a man? He's a he's DM who arrives in attacking positions late(and is dangerous with it). Who cares if he doesn't beat a man, we don't need him to and I wouldn't want him to even try it as being dispossessed in those areas is suicide. <confused>
That's only needs to beat the opposition keeper :emoticon-0148-yes:

I'd expect any decent cm to be able to drop a shoulder now and then and I believe that Mcnair can. Being able to go past the opponent in any area of the pitch is dangerous, because it can lead to an overload situation for example 4 vs 3 in the attackers' favour. I think that describing it as suicide is very negative, and I hope that that's not the case at the AOL. Please note that I said 'negative' not incorrect, depending on the player <laugh>

Well lads and lasses , its all gone quiet with Rodwell Mark 2 innit :emoticon-0130-devil
We were inundated with clubs wanting this £6 Million genius .
Do any of his FANS :emoticon-0173-middl know what he's uo to ?<ghost>

Another complete knacker, £6 Million on £35k a week………………..:headbang:

Does seem to be a waste of money at this point yeah. I doubt he's another Rodwell though in terms of attitude. There are loads of players out there desperate to get on the pitch who unfortunately keep on getting injured.
