http://www.bbc.com/sport/football/42054257 Ive change my mind not the guy i wanted but he has brought me round nice positive guy
Jury is out and he gets default support while short continues to strangle the life out the club. We've had quite a few managers more than good enough to help us push on had we invested the right amount of money at the right time. Years of giving multiple managers 20m-40m for one window and sacking them followed by not giving any money and sacking them has ****ed us right up. While Short is here we're going nowhere fast. Just hope we stick with this one and ride the storm till Short sells.
cheers Bri just put me off my dinner by reminding me, I was still in denial after a night on the piss.
Sorry fella. I came to terms with it ages ago so have no qualms saying it. In my head it's all just a waiting game. The only question that remains is can he sell before he destroys us completely? That's a question I tend block out. I guess it's the same for everyone as there hasn't been a Short thread in a very long time.
There’s an argument that due to Coleman’s high profile the club is more saleable with him in charge, in the short term at least unless he fails. Might have been a factor in the appointment. We’ve certainly had a lot more coverage by Sky since he arrived.
doubt very much if anyone on this site supports Short now, if he doesn't sell soon his losses will deplete even further , guess he is hoping Coleman can turn it around with no cash to back him, an idiot approach as always
Why don''t you and your filthy rich chums buy him out, or are you waiting till it drops to a penny a share on the stock market. We need people at the top with a heart for the club like you..... reply's on the back of a *** packet to King Dick the Jordaan, red light district Amsterdam .
Haha, I ****ing wish pal! There’s a big difference between having a nice life and being able to bankroll a Premier League football club, and even if I had the money I wouldn’t basically throw that kind of money away on a football club, it’s insane how quickly they swallow funds. I thought a few year back it would be kinda cool tonown a non league club or something like that, but then you here even a Vanerama club is about £3.5million a season to run its absolute insanity. When you think, 36 years of graft, and my gaff and car combined are worth a mo th of Rodwells wages. When you look at things like that it brings home how crazy it is, it’s another universe.
Agree but it's been that way regardless of owner /board (Cowie (son of Cowie) Murray, etc and we always suffered under investment with small club mentality. The only saving grace is the fan base At least Short did invest in players. But as you say we badly need a change of owner but I like the noises and intention of Chris Coleman - a top manager
It not how much Short has put in it's how and when, we've spent more than enough to be midtable premier league side. But it's the way we've used said resources has been nothing short of moronic.
It’s so true. Done right with the same amount of investment Short could be an absolute idol here. I suppose he’s been naive and stupid rather than bad, he has backed the club.
He didn't know the sport let alone the the business of the sport. It's the equivalent of me buying a speed boat manufacturing business and hireling advisers to tell me how to run it and putting blind faith in them to make the right decisions for me all because I met an irish tinker on a golf course who told me it would be dead easy and as it happens, had a boat yard for sale.
Spot on which is why Short must go as he should have established a business friendly ( ie football savvy), chain In the club to ensure his investments were well used. He did not - haway a criminal lawyer in charge of player acquisitions - absurd Sorry I'm feeling very annoyed, atm at his failures, which you have often pointed out. It's no good being a player if you are no good - we are not a plaything we are Sunderland
