A glimmer of hope, if they can dismiss a couple of early wickets tomorrow who know what might happen. Though you always feel someone like March or Cummins will come in and doggedly stay there.

Exactly, let's hope they really implode then Clarke will really get in the neck for not getting England to follow on.

That's about as likely as City signing a decent manager though:emoticon-0101-sadsm

Almost annoying that we've bowled so well and fought back in the second innings - I know the conditions were less favourable for the bowlers in the first innings but it looks like we've only started making a fist of it after the match has pretty much been lost? Even if we lose I think Root needs a significant contribution tomorrow otherwise it will look like a very disappointing start to the tour for him from both a captaincy and batting perspective.

Is Root another good performer that is effected by the weight of the captaincy, I guess TWT?

It feels like he's trying too hard to mark himself out as a captain - bold toss decision in this game, some unusual field placings (some of which has worked) and all the way back to the summer when he declared early giving Windies the chance to win. The problem is when you make those sorts of decisions some will pay off and some won't and I can't believe the weight of those consequences won't affect his batting at some level...

He is obviously trying to make his mark as captain, and agree some of his decisions have worked some have not. I am worried about his batting though, he seems to be the type of character who wouldn't be affected, but he has hardly got off the a dominant start on this series.

To be fair, he'll probably just tell any critics to bugger off and ask Smith about it.

Well, I great effort by England, bowled the Aussies out for 138 in their 2nd innings, though have to chase 354 to win, never been done apparently at Adelaide Oval, but at least it keeps them just in the game.

Another great session from England, gives us a chance, a very small chance but after first innings I thought we was looking at an innings loss!
Let's hope no early wickets and by time it gets dark the ball will be getting old unlike last night so that should help us out

Currently 45-0 they can do this!! Steady away and pick your shots. No cheap wickets.

Until we lost the openers I was beginning to think we had a chance. Great fight back but it will require something incredibly special to win from here.

If we don't lose more than 1 wicket before the close then I'll definitely be setting my alarm for 3am...
