I love all the " Big Club Spenders Fans " having a go at the non spending Spurs . The Spurs are a breath of fresh air amongst the fans of the big and foolish spending clubs... who's air flows through their ears .... it's funny :)

Since Sept '16 Spurs have spent net £32m and Arsenal net £36m. Arsenal have won one trophy in that time, Spurs have won none.

Spurs:
2014/15 - £6m net profit
2015/16 - £10m net profit
2016/17 - £12m net spend
2017/18 - £20m net spend

Last four seasons suggests Spurs are spending more and more year on year now. They are not a 'non spending' club and some of their purchases certainly classify them as a 'foolish spending' club. Just because a few years ago their net spend was zero or negative doesn't mean they didn't buy foolishly. They buy just as much overpriced gash as most of big spenders, and hiding that behind a low net spend doesn't make it suddenly disappear and make Spurs a 'breath of fresh air'. Get over yourself.

The past 5 seasons pverall , Arsenal have a net spend 90 times more than the Spurs...not rocket surgury bub , but try to spin it anyway you can

Why pick 5 instead of 2 unless you're trying to spin it your way?
League titles....its a draw , only one team spent a lot of money in the failure though
Basically the only trophies that matter are the ones that Arsenal haven't won more of than Spurs then yes?

Even if this is true, in 4 of those 5 seasons we have finished above them and won 3 trophies compared to there zero.

Go back more than 5 , say 7 ... Spurs sit even better and made a bit .The big spending clubs dont have to worry about net spend , high spenders dont care about the bottom line .

'Better'? At what? Spurs spending net zero means what exactly to you or any other Spurs fan? What do YOU get out of that? And if you're going to say that going back further in time makes it better viewing for spurs then it's also safe to say that looking forward in time Spurs are spending more and more each year. So being 'net zero spenders' and 'breaths of fresh air' is nonsense as is the idea that only others clubs foolishly waste money. And there's nowt wrong with spending money if you have it.

Also, it's not the big spenders who don't have to worry about net spend. Arsenal, Liverpool and United are big spenders and yet still do have to worry about that. It's the artificially financed clubs like City and Chelsea that don't have to worry. But good for them. I'd rather have more teams of high quality in the premier league than less. Means better football to watch all round.

Anyway - trophies. Christ. Arsenal have been pretty turd for a few years now yet still have managed to win three FA Cups. If the FA Cup is that mediocre a trophy and Spurs are that good compared to Arsenal, surely they should have been able to win at least one of them?

Exactly <applause>

Also this arbitrary marker of when clubs started spending is just spun to support a certain agenda. You could equally point out that since the PL began Spurs have been one of the biggest spenders and up until the last 5 years, had a bigger transfer spend that Arsenal. Yet they have next to nothing to show for it, whereas we have 3 titles, 7 FA cups including 2 doubles and an unbeaten season.

And as you say, even if the gap has narrowed recently and if Arsenal are so cack as Spurs fans point out, whilst they have dramatically improved, we STILL have won more trophies and finished higher in the league overall.

The only thing that Spurs fans (and one deranged Canadian swansea fan) cling to is that they have one season in two decades where they finished above Arsenal. And that one solitary achievement is supposed to represent their 'utter dominance' and a power shift

<rofl>

Just want to add to the above that I don't include all Spurs fans in that. I appreciate that they are playing good football and are making good strides into territory that they haven't done before. A lot of their fans are just happy to see their progress without trying to make wild claims about it. It's the nob jockeys that scream 'Power shift' and 'We are now the dominant force in North London', when it's based on zero trophies and one season that need calling out. <ok>

Better at what ? ...Better at managing money in the overturn of players . Domestic Cups these days are for big spending Clubs, that are sh!ttiing the bed in League , to get back to Europe and Champion's League ....Like yourselves last season .Man City , Man U and Chelsea made a half a billion pounds the past 10 years on Champions League . As matter of fact , 10 teams share 85% of Champion League money for making it while all other teams make up 15% of the money . It's kinda funny how the " Big Spender Club " fans skip past net spend because of their " disposable Income " . Spur's are a breath of fresh air at the top where frankly , it reeks a bit .
