I feel really sorry for Moreno here, yes he made 3 mistakes that led to 2 goals, the first was when he gave away a cheap free kick, the second when he let his man get in front of him from that free kick and the 3rd with a clumsy challenge for the penalty.
The fact is though that he was put under constant pressure because your midfield got completely overrun after Sevilla changed theirs at half time. They were by far the better team after that and blaming 1 man for the result is very scapegoatish and lets the rest of the players off.

not seen it but if he was impeded it's a foul regardless of whether he took another step.

I remember Stevey G getting one after Sheffied United even though he took a few more steps and took a shot :p

I called that a dive too

I see plenty on here lambast our midfield. Nice try but a fail nonetheless :p

Moreno was utter sh*t though <ok>

I think we were lucky in being 3-0 up at half time and Sevilla not playing at all in the first half, making schoolboy errors, being ponderous, second to every 50/50 challenge. But they did come out in the 2nd half. While we were expecting more of the same, they overran us.

We can't say they didn't deserve at least a draw. We are still in control and I can't see us having a problem with Spartak at home.<ok>

Just seen the incident, have you never been trod on by someone with studs (if you've played footie).

Yeah he dived on the fall but i bet it still hurt and its still a foul :P. Moreno stood on his foot

Totally agree. They were very liverpoolesque in the first half....a draw is a good result though so and should be enough to get us well over the line. The fact that we threw away a 3 goal lead with an inept 2nd half performance is simply a wake up call for those who thought we were through the worst. Klopp cannot make a silk purse out of a sows ear....and he has a few sows ears <yikes>

We'll have a few more wobbles with this lot through the course of the season.

Just a clumsy, lazy challenge from a player who wasn't switched on at all. Defo a pen

Yep, hard to keep running with one foot pinned to the floor

Yet nobody mentioned it in the first half :emoticon-0100-smile

You tend not to when 3-0 up. We were by far the better team when they let us play.......There were still signs of it though. Hendo gave the ball away at least once and we nearly conceded. You've been on this board long enough to know that our defence and midfield has been widely criticised.

But, and it's a big but, have his mistakes cost our place in the knockout rounds?

We'll have to wait and see, so it's better to gloat and pisstake at the right time, which obviously isn't tonight.

Only the real Manchester club have beaten them at their ground in the CL just like LFC are the only English side to beat Messi's Barca at the Nou Camp Inthe CL.:emoticon-0100-smile

Of course I have, I am just pointing out that Moreno is getting all the blame at the moment and it just isn't right.

Any team can be by far the better if the other team lets them play <laugh>

Did it do either of them any good/win them anything <laugh>

Err, no, I'm just a scouser commenting on our fine result(,not performance), along with most of our followers I'd have taken a draw but if we'd have won it'd have been a bonus, can't really see how you've got the cheek to wum tbf fair, our record based on the amount of times we've qualified is sound, if in doubt ask Arsenal, City and Spurs.:emoticon-0105-wink:
