Hacked email accounts - BEWARE

Ron, might seem a really stooooooopid question but at any point did YOU contact the bank directly on a number recognised as belonging to the bank you are with, by that i mean not a number the original bank caller or email detail might have given you?

I have won the Zimbabwean lottery. Getting my winnings out of the country may prove a little tricky, but anyone who pm's me their bank details, I'll weigh them in for a cut.

I know what you mean brb. It was one of my banks that alerted me first and another one alerted me soon after. Thankfully they alerted me by phone the day it happened as otherwise I wouldn't have known (if they had simply emailed me, I wouldn't have seen the emails because all my emails had been diverted to the delete folder and then deleted from there. So when I asked the bank to send me a copy of the email I supposedly sent only the hacker saw the reply. Luckily I can recover deleted emails and discovered what was going on.

I had a secret email address but the bastards even sent me an email there which was immediately reported. They have also sent one to my nephew in England. This started, as far as I know, with an estate agent having his email hacked, from where I was sent this "secured" PDF file. God knows who else they have sent to.
