Malky Mackay has called up Callum Paterson to the Scotland squad for their game on Thursday against Holland.

Hope his knee holds up OK - we don't want another Gunnar type problem when we come back after this break.

Is Gunner away with Iceland again?

He's on the bench for Iceland this afternoon against Czech Republic. Funny he couldn't even make the bench for us against Ipswich nor Bristol our two games last week.

Maybe he's on the bench today for his country more for morale and won't actually play?

im so behind the times with football>>>>>>>>>>since when was malky manager of Scotland?

Acting manager at the mo aber, after Strachan resigned last month.

Word is h'es going for it full time.

ah right, I did hear Strachan went after the world cup exit but didn't realise anyone had jumped in his grave yet....is this malks first job since us....my mind is blankety blank

Not his first job aber - from memory he was sacked after a few moths managing Wigan.

More recently he's been involved (and employed) by the Scottish FA in some capacity. Aparently he was in the right place at the right time when Strachan slung his hook.

bloody hell I missed his wigan days ......he`s indeed a lucky man being in the right place at the right time sparkey for sure.....but I wish him the best all the same.

Iceland lost at home 1 - 2 to Czech Rep - Iceland made 6 substitutions but Gunnar wasn't one of them.

not good news for Iceland but good news for us.........or as john lennon would have put put.....mama don't go, gunnar come home.
