Elia reminded me of Fabrice Fernandes. Both clearly had skill but did little with it. Probably a little harsh on Elia being compared to FF.
I'll actually stand up for Fabrice. Good player. Ask James Beattie. In my opinion, leaving him out of the 2003 Cup Final was part of our downfall that day.
They were both very skilled with the ball but I don't think either player showed it enough IMO. Fernandes injury time equalizer against Everton was a cracker though.
I accidentally clicked that video a few days ago. It makes me laugh how bad defenders were, 2004 wasn't even that long ago. Oh look, big Phil Dowd.
Tadic is more like Fabrice Fernandes......in that he always got stuck on the right wing and insisted on cutting back on his left foot
Was on loan last season at the Spanish team I follow (Betis), not good enough for the Premiership atm in my view, but promising. If he really wants to get a permanent move and first team football then I would imagine he would go abroad. He is nothing like Ramires in playing style, I would say he is best suited to being a number 10.
Elia One good game for us and a few flicks, that is it, massively inconsistent/no football brain. There is a reason he is playing for some team in Turkey I've never heard of, he isn't very good. Seemed like a decent guy though from interviews.
Typical....... With FF struggling to stop any attempt that is on target, Gazzaniga is having a "Worldy" for Spurs against Palace. Ummmmmmmm
