What it showed is that in big matches you just have to be solid defensively first and foremost. It could well have been a draw. What we did at Spurs was exactly what we shouldn't be doing. We defended like a pub team and we got punished.

Mourinho set up a strong defence first then set out to win by the lone goal. To be fair you sensed that the goal was coming whether in the 60th or in the 80th. And it was always going to be a 1-0 or 0-1 match.

It seems it is only our matches that involve 4 or 5 goals. <whistle>

Nah, most of City's games have 4 or 5 goals tbf. Most of them in the oppositions net though.

Mourinho showing yet again that this game is about clean sheets before entertainment. I hate how negative he is, strangling the life out of games, but it is effective.

Effective? After playing 7 of the bottom 8, the most expensive team in the history of the game is "only" 5 points and 10GD off the top of the league thanks to bringing on a £50m sub

So man yoo fans pay a fortune traveling from Asia, the States and even Croydon and buying tickets but Maureen slates them off for booing his decision to take Rashford off.

"Jose Mourinho told his critics to "calm down" after Manchester United's 1-0 win over Tottenham on Saturday.

The Red Devils manager had faced scrutiny in recent weeks after a 0-0 draw against Liverpool and shock 2-1 defeat by promoted Huddersfield.

Anthony Martial's goal kept United second in the league and at full-time Mourinho looked at a television camera and put his finger to his lips.

"Some people speak too much," he said when asked about the gesture."

"Calm down, relax a little bit. Don't speak too much, speak, speak, speak, relax. Relax a little bit, don't be so nervous. Don't be so excited," the Portuguese added."
