I agree re OOSG although I think it will be Big Orange who he cannot pass. A no bet race for me.

Taken 11/10 Harry Angel and 5/2 Ribchester, singles and the double!

Was lining up my longshot for the Balmoral but sadly didn't make the cut!

I can't have Cracksman in the Champions Stakes at 2/1. Stating the obvious re the trip and this is a fair step up in class too. The ground is against Highland Reel and this will probably be a blow out for the Breeders Cup. Ulysses would have been the obvious starting point for me but in his absence the two that interest are Barney Roy and Brametot. The latter ran a nice race in the Arc but given his tendency to blow the start I'd leave him be as the round course at Ascot is sharp enough. Barney Roy will likely be the bet. The Eclipse and the Juddmonte are stand out pieces of form amongst this company. I'm not sure there is a massive amount of improvement left in him but he doesn't have to step up to win this. If it does get very soft I would definitely have an each way poke with Recoletos.

I'll have a little ew on Shiekzayedroad, course and distance won't mind the ground, has beaten OOSO around this time of year and Pallasator won today which gives the selection a little boost.

I think he really needs a trip. He could off in front and try to run the finish out of them but I wouldn't take 2/1 on him. I'm also a bit sceptical about the form of his last two runs. The French horses he beat the last day don't look a great bunch and Venice Beach was properly stuffed in the Leger.

I agree form-wise. He just looked more of a beast. He was real baby in the Derby. Whatever happens on Saturday he'll be a cracker next year. That's why they call him Cracksman

So basically I fancy the two horses the most that you guys fancy the least OOSG and Cracksman two singles and double for me!! The rain will really help Cracksman and with Ulysses not running now it’s Cracksmans for the taking!!!!

Al Waikair will certianly have something to say about that, he’s my fancy for the race. Came over to the Guineas with a hype about it and he ran extremely well! With only about a length behind Churchill, then he disappointed next time but got back to form when snatching a win on the line at Deauville he’s freshened up and the French have a great record at this meeting! And with the help of cheekpieces, the ground he will be lowering the colours of ribchester for who this will be the end of a very kind season which again is the reason I have stepped off the Churchill train but at the price of 13/2 he is a solid ew bet if nothing else. With a great chance in my eyes of winnibg

Caravaggio for me in the sprint- can forgive his run at Deauville, was only about 2 lengths behind Harry angel in the July cup when he got in to an awful position and Harry dictated the race. Looked back to near his old self when winning ok a G2 but sped up well again the cut in the ground will help. Now why I don’t like harry angel (who I backed at haydock) altho he bolted up in that race a performance like that in bog heavy ground would have taken its toll, the stiff ascot track Will again not be in his favour he has been beaten all 3 times at ascot all at the prices Caravaggio at 9/2 is bloody good PrIce for a horse who has always gone off fav!!

I think Tasleet 14/1 e/w is a good bet in the sprint. Have to say Harry Angel is the best horse in the race but he has had very soft leads in last two races and has been turned over both runs on the stiffer 6f at Ascot. He is settling better now but it looks like Obrien has put a few in to make sure this is a more truly run race and I think hes very short in this field. Muhaarar went off 5/2 in a weaker field.

Bateel, Ribchester and Barney Roy in the other races.

If it ends up a bog, Recoletos might be worth a saver in the big race, loves the mud and some decent form in France.

Currently around 14/1 so an each way option too and hopefully some bookies may even pay for extra placings. Only passing on what I've heard and not telling anyone to put the mortgage on either but hopefully come just after 4.30 we will all be cheering.[/QUOTE]

At least I have one thing right so far, Skybet paying 6 places and is still 14/1.

Agree, that's exactly what I've done. Bit late having an e/w bet, so 20/1 was the best I could manage.

What a ****ing load of ****e. Elderly gent, chats over coffee, large flutters, set the scene eh...

Why would some random old guy hand over his slip to another random old guy he doesnt know.

Used to live 2 doors down from the trainer... for the love of ****.

Thanks for passing on to the forum but it might have been better passed on to your doctor.

Can people not just say they fancy one instead of mixing it in with creative writing, probably caused a good few people to bet that rag today.
