I just discovered that the whole of the acclaimed 1974 BBC Radio 4 production of Lord of the Rings is on YouTube. If you haven’t heard it it really is worth a listen. Here’s episode 1 as a taster, featuring a very young Bill Nighy as Sam Gamgee:

Frankly, as she is elderly I would be checking her for signs of dementia first.https://uk.yahoo.com/news/nazi-grandma-sentenced-six-months-jail-germany-144238841.html
An elderly woman in Germany is on trial again for being a holocaust denier. I feel very uneasy about this...I consider her wrong and loathe her politics, but feel uneasy that people can't hold opinions and discuss them. I am aware of the difficulties....as I wouldn't like someone standing on a corner inciting violence....but there is also the right to free speech. Tough one.

Very sad...Terry Butcher's 35-yr-old son has died. As they mention his failure to adjust after a tour of Afghanistan I assume suicide.![]()
Just watching Chris Packham program on how he deals with his Aspergers. Very good program. Amazing man and really good that this is being highlighted and shown. He really is quite inspirational.
Really enjoyed it. Couldn't have been easy to produce the documentary either seeing as he struggles so much around people.
Was surprised to hear about the previous suicidal moments, especially the more recent ones in the early 2000's.
Also surprising was that only 16% of autistic adults are employed, which is something that really needs to change.
Been meaning to watch this. I've put it on my added list on iPlayer.Anyone been watching the new 3 part Louis Theroux series Dark States?
The most recent episode focused on the illegal sex trafficking plaguing America and in particular Houston, Texas.
While not as visually grim as the first episode which centred around drug use, it was still tough to see how Pimps control and manipulate vulnerable women and in some cases girls.
It raised some interesting psychological points too exemplified best by one woman who defended and at times praised her pimp while then later in the episode being petrified of returning to said pimp because she had lost the previous night earnings, knowing that in her words she was going to get the **** beat out of her again.
There were a few positives however and it was good to see that there are severe prison sentences for people caught pimping which this clip shows.
