fake news imo..but if theres an ounce of truth in the story that Ollys on the way out ,then id rather be looking at Big Sam than Jackett.
 
Our annual autumnal managerial cull. You give them peanuts to spend and expect Top Six, tells you a lot about our selection process and half-baked strategies. Jackett isn't pulling up trees at Pompey who are probably a better prospect than us anyway. Until our leaky defence is shored up and we find a goalscorer we're going to be bottom six or worse whoever the manager is...

I agree although a new Jackett may be a better fit than a Ollie on string.

All jokes aside, Ollie isn’t cutting the mustard and if a change in manager was to happen, l really don’t think we’d do any worse than where we are now.

Onward and upward l say.
May the Jackett be suited to our club.
 
FFS we are 14th in the table (about where many predicted and would be content with). We are playing better than we have for many years (albeit not getting the results we might deserve), we have players who give a **** and with bags of potential. We have our first choice defence missing through injury. Im not sure what else we could expect in the circumstances. We do need a more clinical striker though, Sylla's miss yesterday was awful. Sincerely hope this is just Sun bs.

Any manager who goes half a dozen games without a win is automatically under pressure these days because the press drive the speculation with rubbish to fill their columns. I would guess this is nothing more than such speculation but a loss at Bolton would really point to us being in the relegation mix and TF often gets panicky in such circumstances, just depends whether he holds his nerve but I wouldn't feel too secure if I was Ollie...

True, nothing should surprise us these days when it comes to managers getting the boot. We definitely could use a win at Bolton but I dont reckon TF is ready to pull the trigger if we lose, unless it's a proper tonking.

This is the whole point...we all feel we are almost there.
Yesterday, shoulda could won.
We have not been tonked at all
We keep saying with a bit of luck.

We started well and then hit an injury crisis...with nearly all the CDs being affected...Hall, Perch, Lynch, Ned, now Robinson.....(and of course Caulker????)
We are beginning to come through it.

If we could just convert a few more of our chances, it would take so much of the pressure off.....To me this is Ollies problem, not the defence. If he could manufacture some confidence in one or two of the forwards we would be moving up the table
 
Olly needs to be given time. He has just managed to get rid of the overpaid players that weren't pulling their weight, brings in a few others and the board expects a top 6? Surely it is about time a fan was excepted on the management board.

After all, we all follow QPR because:
1) If there is an easy way of doing something, we choose the difficult way
2) If a team hasn't won in 30 odd games, and they play us next, there is always a good chance that they will break their duck
3) we have usually had the chance to see a rough diamond turn into something a little more polished: Where do I start? Stan, Les Fernidand, the QPR team of 75/76, etc etc etc
4) If there is an opportunity to spend millions on a player that gets wasted - ie Ned Zelic (the only Aussie that couldn't settle in London), Mike Sheron getting inured after 3 games(? could be wrong on number of games but know it wasn't many

Olly is QPR through and through - that is something that has been missing for a while at the club. I hope the story is nothing more than lazy journalism

We obviously need to carry on with Olly,weve tried changing managers when owners get nervy and that dont work ,so hopefully we will stick rather than twist,but a defeat by Bolton would put him right in the frame for the boot! Its a must win game.

Really hope not.
New manager now means another couple of yrs added to however long it will take us to get back to the PL.
 
Dont think theres any internal pressure on Olly at all....... Yet.

If we are near the bottom in January then who knows.....but at present think this is just your average junk tabloid filler.

Now is not the time to be chopping and changing the management team - the results may not be falling in our favour at the moment, but the hard work and passion that I've seen so far make it a team that is far more preferable than some of the dross we've been served up with in previous seasons. The players seem to give a ****, Ollie has them fired up, and it just takes Lady Luck to smile at us and turn that fortune around and we xould be back to winning ways. There are at least 3 teams far worse than us in this division, and although we won't be pushing for play-offs this year (I think) I don't think come May we'll be struggling at the other end of the table either - we have a very busy treatment table, but gradually these players will come through and strengthen the team - as above though, we need someone to start banging the goals in - I like what I've seen of Wheeler, maybe he's the one to step up....

Our league position (15th as Derby will go above us) reflects the quality of our current squad. The new transfer policy of living within our means (which incidentally, I agree with) will only allow us to attract and afford players from lower league clubs or overseas. I really don't see that changing the manager would have a significant impact on performances or results, it's all about managing expectations, and these days I don't expect much.

It's funny that TF himself tweeted about how things are going the right way on the same day that this article comes out. I wouldn't read let alone read into anything the old ballbag Rupert Murdoch's cesspit Sun says.

Ollie isn't perfect and the team isn't as good as we'd like, but given what he's got to work with he's doing OK and hasn't disgraced himself or us so far.

Don't read the Sun (or any of these stupid papers). This is why the nation is becoming more stupid/more Americanised.
These (working class) papers are designed to keep the masses ignorant, so that the establishment can continue conning the working class. If you don't know what you should be complaining about, you don't complain about it.
Olly is in for the long term.

Oh, and the Sun has been publishing this stuff for decades, I used to read the fine articles, after getting past page 3.
