I never tire of watching that goal, with or without the Titanic music. What's not often appreciated is that Shane started his run to get on the end of Sims' pass from our own penalty spot, and he was a good 15 yards behind Sims when he started. He outstripped everyone else on the pitch over nearly 90 yards to get into a shooting position, and still had the composure to finish perfectly.

That's what he gives you, total commitment. He may be out of touch but he'll get his mojo back one day, I'm sure, and he still makes a great impact sub.

I'm confused, wasn't his 2nd last goal v Swansea, or am I missing the joke.

Oh my God, I've never heard the anthem like that!! The best thing was the band just playing the first few bars and just letting the crowd sing. That sent shivers down my spine

It wasn't bad luck, it was dirty play - the S4C commentators (OK, probably slightly biased :p) are totally disgusted, saying that the two Irish players knew exactly what they were doing.

Nah, sorry H. There was a nudge from one player that made Allen get hit by the next player. A foul for the nudge, but nothing else but unfortunate he got whacked where he did as he fell.

    This from a neutral :)

Maybe missing something. I thought he has scored one on 42 games.

That said if it is 2 in 42 it is still as appetising as dog ****.

Mane on the Balloon D'Or shortlist.

Do people still think we got a good sale?

Yes. He was very good for us but also very indifferent in that last season. He was always going to improve but we got a fair price in my opinion for what he had done for us.

People will always moan that it was too little but at that time it was fair. If he had stayed and been sold this summer, different matter.

Oh, I agree! Just a shame that neither of the fantastic chances Wales had just before didn't go in.

    Serbia leading.

I see that Iceland are leading 2-0, are they through?

I want both of these to go through :(

I far prefer watching Ireland and/or Wales (particularly Wales) to England. There’s an honesty and passion about it with no real stars (bar Bale) which is lacking in an England side I feel completely indifferent towards. Also far prefer the crowds.

Yes, but they've both managed to show the lack of quality that England show.
