It's impossible to know unless you know the reason for people voting the way they do. Someone might, for example, vote Green because of environmental issues but wouldn't vote Labour because of economic concerns or Tory because of NHS concerns. I don't vote left or right, that does not concern me, I vote for who makes the most sense which usually is someone in the middle. The more extreme a party gets the more I won't vote for them. I don't like it when when people get so they can't see any good outside their limited view.

For me this is a serious problem. I mean, governments really do need to know what people are voting for! One of the reasons i would have liked AV as you could see how the votes transfer from small single issues parties in earlier rounds.

It's all just a correlation, ain't it? Like there is a correlation between people who smoke and people who get lung cancer. Can't prove cause and effect, can you?

Just come back from a Foodbank collection and feeling uplifted, that's my problem today. Later this week I'll be giving food to people with a temporary cash flow crisis. We'll suggest they trade in the Merc and get a Ford, that'll sort it.

I saw it as sarcasm............trying to simplify "right wing" stereotype as being hardline and uncaring.

So the average age of Tory members is 57.............only 4 years older than the average Labour member and 5 years older than Lib Dem members.

And the ethnic breakdown is equally interesting being 97%, 96%, 96%. The Tories are only 1% lower on ethnic members!!

Shows the difficulty getting minorities and women interested in politics.

Also getting young people involved as the only way lib Dems can come out at 52 is if the young members are on the old side of young.

I seriously think that Trump is suffering from dementia. The childishness isn't unusual with dementia sufferers and the whole, "he's being mean to me so I'm going to mean back," and blaming everyone else is either a form of mental illness... or paranoia.

Mate, you've described a wizened old leftie who now spends his time doing voluntary work to try and stick a thumb into the dyke caused by Tory cuts as a begrudging Tory. Based on this post alone I'd describe you as an ignorant prick, but I'm sure that isn't the case.
