Bellew v Haye II is already an overhyped irrelevance.

No decisions yet but we are officially one of 'the big six' who are after a bigger cut. I've heard of Bar Six, it used to be made by Cadbury's but never heard of 'big six', apart from the Judge Dread song.

To me if they are going to change the split it would be better to do it by proportioning it w.r.t. the amount of international caps each clubs players get for either England or Wales. It would encourage teams to sign English/Welsh players.

I wondered why everything had gone silent over last year's raids on The Spammers and Sports Direct FC. Now, it's starting to become clear why.

If any club was 'up to no good', there was always a fair chance that it would be Ashley's. "Systematic abuse of the tax system" is a serious charge. Ashley's response was to seek to challenge the legality of HMRC's application for search warrants pertaining to investigating that systematic abuse and the Judge's actions in granting the said warrant. Those are the last resort actions of a desperate man who knows that everything's up when the evidence is examined.

It would tie in with Ashley trying to get shot of the club PDQ and the presence of Amanda Staveley at Sunday's game. If the regime changes, maybe, just maybe the FA won't tear them a new one? I think that if HMRC are right on what's been going on, they could get themselves relegated, no matter who's left holding the parcel when the music stops.

That'll knock a few bob of the valuation.

Well there is that as well. 70% x £768M is about £537.6M per year, that would pay off the new stadium in a couple of years.

Is there a total cost for the new stadium yet or will Daniel have to wait on completion?

No doubt £1 less than the Emiroids, just so we can say that not only does our new stadium have a higher capacity, but we didn't need to spend as much to build it.

It's not a bad list, can't argue much. Personally not sure about Davids - was a great player, but was on the wane when we got him. Almost certainly a great influence on the club though.
What was the headline - did it include the phrase "is not fit to lick the boots of..."

Judas Iscariot? Michael Carrick? Walker? Kane? - Spurs' top 25 players of the Premier League era

There's a couple of players who certainly deserve a spot on the list but weren't mentioned: Scott Parker, Michael Dawson, Sandro and Paul Robinson certainly spring to mind (also I think Robbie Keane should be three or four spots higher...)

I suppose it depends if you're rating the players per se or just for their performances in a Spurs shirt.
If Messi signed on loan and played five games, would he top the list?
Carrick was consistently one of the best players of his type in the PL for 10 years.
Others on the list achieved great things away from Spurs too - for club and country.
If it's based on time at Spurs, then it's hard to disagree, expect the stock of current players is a little inflated because they're in the spotlight now.

Got memories of him leaving Burnley to for Bolton...great career move!
If I recall correctly he was being touted as a possible Wenger replacement.

The current players have finished higher than previous sides, though.
I agree with your point generally, but I'm not sure how accurate it is in this case.
Some are a little inflated, certainly, but others definitely deserve their places.

Surely it has to be Asmir Begovic, who we signed only for him to not sign which meant we received £1m for him to join Stoke for £3.25m instead

    My head hurts...

I would agree all four of those would be ahead of Davids, and I would swap Keane and Alli's positions on the list, I would also put in nominations for the other 2 Croatians Corluka and Kranjcar.
