1) United may be better off without Zlatan
So far this seasonManchester Unitedhave played at home 14 times, and have already registered more draws (seven) than in any full season since 1991-92 – and that was played over 42 games. The principal reason for such mediocrity is the quality of their finishing, and in particular that of Zlatan Ibrahimovic who, for all his goals and general behaviour, has missed far too many simple chances for the main striker of a serious team. But he is suspended this weekend, meaning that United’s attack will be led by Marcus Rashford. Though he is without a league goal since September, he may well prove a trickier proposition for West Brom’s centre-backs – after all, Jonny Evans, absent when the teams met earlier in the season, policed Ibrahimovic superbly when he was close to his peak. But more than that, Rashford’s pace and movement are a constant worry for defenders, also giving greater scope to other attackers; Ibrahimovic, on the other hand, either scores or does nothing. Ridiculous thought it sounds, United might just be more effective without him.

Two stories in two days about two Man U rejects who failed to make it.
I kind of get the Morrison story, he was a highly rated player that's completely ****ed up his career and has ended up in a third tier league. But the second one could be done about any young footballer from any club that didn't make it (which is a huge majority of young footballers)

I don't really agree. Not trying to pick a fight like but the first one about the ginger is quite interesting story and worth a read even if he is a bit of a loon.

The seconds about Morrison I only read the headline cos he's a waster.

As to BBC alliengce that is obviously clear.

It certainly is, they have published two article's one about a supremely talented young player and the other about a very promising young player who United never managed to control or develop. I am pretty sure if they did two similar about ex-Liverpool young players you would somehow see it as a slight against Liverpool :emoticon-0100-smile

I think it's more the fact that hacks are lazy ****ers than anything else. They've got a big team on their doorstep so why should they actually try to work to get a story? Research cuts down on your drinking time.

Not so much lazy or location based, they can do their internet crawls from any desk in the world.
Hacks get paid for filling pages and selling papers, when there is a story to tell then any club could feature, when there is no news then any old **** about the big sellers is brought out.
Just think about it, United, Liverpool, City, Chelsea, Spurs and Arsenal (usually in that order on a quiet day) get all kinds of unsubstantiated transfer rumours or player unrest or what can the manager do now (if in an up-beat mood how great things are) stories written about them just to fill columns.

Pretty sure the one about Eckersley is just because people have posted about it on social media.

"Although perhaps not a household name, it is perhaps surprising that in this social media age it took the best part of six months for Eckersley's Manchester United past to be outed in the South Devon town"

Nothing but lazy journalism there, same as the story they had on this morning about one of the US women's footballers getting kicked out of Disneyland for being too pissed. Sorry to disappoint the conspiracy nuts <whistle>
