In fact at most clubs supporters recognise when players move on to bigger clubs. Even at United/Spurs Ronaldo/Bale are still treated fondly.
After they'd actually done something with that club, it's called paying it back. Tymons ****ed off at the first opportunity without playing for us, with his agent laying a trail blaming the club.

If Jarrod Bowen goes for ten million in January, we'll at least have something to show for it, probably..., he's honoring the faith shown in him by the club and the work we've done for him.

Don't let hatred of the Allams blind people to the ****ing over the club have got over this.

Tymon played for us a number of times.

Come on syd ffs don't be pedantic. I'm not going to look how man games but it wasn't many. If he'd signed a contract, had a good season in the championship and we'd either gett promoted and he'd stay or an offer comes in and he goes with everyone's blessing. Giving the club the chance to buy a replacement.

I wasn't talking youth games nor being pedantic. You seemed to forget he played a number of senior games, that's all.

I wasn't speaking as a FACT but just that there are plenty of examples of ex-players being welcomed back warmly. It all depends on the circumstances of the departure. I can't imagine many begrudge Tymon.

Not trying to patronise you in anyway, but you’d perhaps have a different perspective if you were living and had lived English football, rather than viewing from afar.

Going home and away, pubs before/after the game, working in the local area, witnessing first-hand what opponents are singing/booing etc is often not reported or under reported.

I have lived in England.

The agent makes very little on a youth player who moves for a compo fee either and he's unlikely to get a big move while playing for Stoke U23's.

He'd have been our first choice left back this season and the agent would get far more from the standard £10m we sell all our decent players for at the end of the season.

He's not in the U23's, he's been ever present hasn't he? It was a good move for Josh, staying here would really have hampered his career.

Over 12 months on one occasion, and for four months on another where I went week in week out to City games.

My point was that there are numerous circumstances where players move on and fans don't loathe them.

Loads of situations were they do.

In fact, I'd say it's common place over Europe and South America to despise a player for doing what Tymon did.

I don't hate Tymon. And he was pretty ****, look at all the daft mistakes he made and how often he got turned inside out. Max Clark is proving to be a far superior player so it turned out well.

Everyone's a winner, except perhaps for Stoke.

I dunno they've got a first team squad player on 300 quid a week. Brings their wage bill down a bit.
