WIth Fifa 18 releasing tomorrow I thought I'd say this.

Don't buy it. Seriously don't.

It's an incredibly broken game that quite frankly should not be on the shelves. It's really disappointing to say this as I am a huge fan of the series and loved Fifa 17. This years though is awful. I've played about 30 matches across the different game modes so far and I think that's enough to make a judgement.

I'm not being a sore loser or just generally rubbish at the game because I've won over 2/3s of my online matches (played about 20 or so).

Here's why it's broken:
- The goalkeepers are non-existent. Have a shot anywhere in the box or just outside that's on target and it will go in. If you don't believe me then please just type in Fifa 18 and keepers into the twitter search bar and you will find a whole host of people with the same feelings.

- crossing and heading is too overpowered. I scored a hattrick of Boufal headers in one game. I think that is enough for you to understand. But in general any cross you put in, neither the goalkeeper of defends with go for it, almost like it's programmed to go in.

- pace. Don't buy any of the crap about tactics and having to work for a goal. As long as you have a fast player then not even the best defenders will stop them.

Obviously this works both ways. I've exploited it online and scored stupid numbers of goals. But good luck to anyone trying to keep a clean sheet.

This isn't a rant by the way. Just some consumer advice before people pay 50 quid for what is a very poor game.
Haven't bought it, but started my ultimate team on the app. Played the demo but as with every FIFA demo it always feels slow and weird. In fairness every FIFA game I've played has had something wrong with it and also something that gets exploited. And pace is everything as it always has been and will be.

Barça is apparently gonna "take" LaLiga to the UEFA and FIFA boards to demand answers (and possible punishment) regarding the declined decision to cancel today's match (due to what's happening in the region).

Just back from the Southampton derby (and my first Live Women's football match) - what a match - Southampton Women away at Southampton Saints G&L but recovering from a well worked goal to win 3-1.

Captain Kirsty Bell coming on as a great impact sub to score 2, but the 3rd from Emma Pinner was a work of art.
Laura "Gilly" Vokes getting POM for her relentless running at the Saints G&L defence and seemingly infinite crosses.

I've not felt this great at & after a game since we were chasing promotion - I think I'm giving up men's football if the Women continue to be so entertaining. Specially since it only cost three quid (plus bus fare)

Ah, the youthful idealism and positivity of someone who has just discovered women's football. Long may that continue, before reality turns you into a bitter and twisted cynic like me. But good on you for seeing a woman's game.

I saw my first women's game in 1978 at The Dell. England beat Belgium 3 nil, with 5 Saints ladies playing.

My first was Portsmouth v Plymouth, on the day when Portsmouth secured the WPL South title for the first time. They secured the title a 2nd time in 2014, but because they lost in the play-offs, their team was completely ripped apart (as anyone could see would have happened to the losers in the play-off) and now the WSL is littered with ex-Portsmouth players. Which would be fine if Portsmouth received even a single penny in compensation. But apparently non-WSL clubs don't deserve any compensation for developing talent.

Frankly the men's game has already turned me into a bitter cynic, at least this way it'll be cheaper! Also the players even like\retweet\comment on my musings on the match - never had that from the lads, even in League 1.
Having said that, the way the FA have treated Yeovil Town LFC is a disgrace: http://www.yeoviltownladies.com/news/club_statement_802653205.html#5xji5tKCceHUMRc3.97

And Sunderland

No doubt one or two other current WSL1 sides will be relegated. I would guess Bristol and possibly Reading.

He has one goal in 42 games and I see people on here saying start him for us, he scares defenders.

Words fail me.

He gives his all and looks like he really gives a **** which fans will always love in this era of modern greedy footballers.

Plus, he did do this:

You must log in or register to see media

And he will always be a cult hero down here due to that.... for another example of not a great player being a bit of cult hero see this:

You must log in or register to see media

Keys to the city stuff then.

I'd never play him from the start and only bring him on if desperate. Bring a chunk of reality as to our current level.
