Point 1 - that is a different issue to the one being debated... but as you say, perfectly legal. So you point is?

Point 2 - Why are you reading this and posting something completely different. Where is the hypocisy is our debate? We are talking about a player and club in dispute. Our thoughts are on that topic and we have never acted the same way as the club in question is.

Please go away, think about what you are saying and then, if inclined, come back and contribute in a sensible and grown up manner.

you call cardiff city not 'morally right' for negotiating an excellent deal to sign PL players on loan on subsidised wages. based on your argument tottenham have not been morally right for managing to get van der vaart from real madrid on a bargain deal?

i personally think its scandalous when a club has so much money that they can afford to buy up players by the dozen so that other top 4 clubs cant have them, then leave them to rot in the reserves on inflated salaries whilst refusing them moves to other rivals in order to not strengthen the competition. unsustainably run clubs like chelsea and man city contribute to all clubs in the league being unsustainably run as they cause inflated salaries and transfer fees.

Rather than feed this troll, back OT.

I'm too full of 'Friday Night' haze at the moment to compile any logical reasoning but I'll be very surprised (although well pleased) if we see CB back this year.

but at the same time can you see CB at man city at the end of the window? he has to go somewhere, and that doesn't include teams which involve traveling back and forth or rivals of man city so why not?

So by contract resolved, does that mean paid in full, a % settled, or ripped up?

I'm sure MC would rip up Craigs contract, but he quite rightly wants the years wages they owe him. If Lazio had to pay the conntract in full this could be a precedent that should worry MC's highly paid lawyers. I know they have unlimited funds but losing up to 5 players for free and having to settling contracts can't be a situation they'd take lightly!

It is unlikely they'll find themselves in another CB situation, where one of their high earners wants to move to a Championship club. I'm hoping in the end it all just becomes to much hassle for MC and they just pack him off down the M6 to us on the highest wage % they can squeeze out of us.

With regard to games he played well in last year, I thought he did 'OK' on debut against Donny, then was instrumental in getting the win at Pompey! Not a bad start!
His final ball and finishing is on another planet compared to Burke.
He's premier league class and desperate to play for us, imo MM should do everything he can to get him. I'm sure that won't involve paying £3m and 80k a week.
Transfer fees should be kept for players who'll appreciate in value like Mason but I fully support making Craig the highest paid player on our books for 2 seasons. He has match winning class no one in our current playing staff can get anywhere near. His ability means he should be playing for a top 8 PL club.

Surely there are only 2 possibilities for CB and thats with us or rotting in MC's reserves.

now I'm struggling :D

I just think that if its as personal as has been suggested, Mancini wouldn't be too bothered to see him rot in the reserves. CB is clearly not in his plans. Whether their board, from a business perspective, would agree is another matter.
I'd love to see MM/CCFC negotiate a deal/transfer to bring him back but not at the expense of 'breaking the bank' so to speak. I've no idea what that 'bank' is of course but if MM is looking to bring in 3/4 more players, the alledged figures suggested for CB could probably be put to better use. I hope I'm proved wrong.
Ideally CB + AN Other x 2

Mancini was desperate to get rid of him last year but he does not make the financial decisions concerning any deal.

Needing to shift so many players Man City hoped that seeming to want fees and high percentage of wages clubs would not try to get players cheap.

Now Mancini has finally been told that the buying must stop till players are sold.

Wait till the 25 man squad is named there will be even more players available on loan.

Had to go out around 10 this morning and just got back in to see that arch pillock Aussie has had to put his snide five cents worth in. Nothing to do with his club of course, but then again that doesn't matter when there's a chance to act the pompous prick on here.

Not worth a reaction really, as that's all he's angling for with his little digs, but doesn't it just demonstrate what a vile little turd the man is?

The thread was/is a good discussion point for CCFC posters. Interesting and varied opinions on the subject, with a general concensus that Bellamy back in the side would be welcomed not withstanding the legal or moral issues surrounding his situation at Man City.

Good shout TT but this is Aussie so you'll have to put things in words of 1 syllable.

Because of the need for a 2 tier approach for MC they had to sign players to get into the top 4, then become an attractive club to the worlds best players.
They've done that so quickly and with such disgard for any financial implications they have destroyed the resale value of all their 'surplus' players. That coupled with the ridiculous salaries they've agreed means any club interested in one of those players holds a position of power.

UEFA fair play regulations surely mean they need rid of all those excess wages and Spurs, us, and pleanty of others are very aware of that.

Talking of Spurs, did they decide to see how high they could get without playing any games this year?

"Mancini laments money 'wasted' as City fail to shift surplus stars"

extract:

Tevez, however, has a future if he stays at Manchester City, which is more than can be said for Emmanuel Adebayor, Craig Bellamy, Wayne Bridge, Roque Santa Cruz and Shaun Wright-Phillips, none of whom will feature in Mancini's Premier League squad. Even at a conservative estimate of their wages, they are costing City around £350,000 a week.

"I don't like the club spending so much on these players," said Mancini. "If we had moved earlier and more quickly [to get them off the books], we would have spent less money.
"I did not buy these players and I can only answer for the players that I buy. I tried with these players two years ago but they are not part of my plans now. I am sorry about this because I respect these players, but it is better that I am clear with them."

AAMB (Carl Curtis) reporting that Craig has his wish and is able to leave the club and has another club which he has already lined up.
He also says that club is NOT Cardiff City???
He is saying the source is hot and would not reveal the club Craig is in agreement with.

Personally I find this shocking if true, it would mean that talks with Bellamy would have been going on for sometime, I can only think it would be a fairly highly rated premier club as nothing else would make sense to me.

1927, thats a way to go for a man who wants to be near his family?
I always thought Carls updates were pretty fair in days gone, but I am wondering about this one, it's not what I've heard.

SB: IF true, good luck to him and we move on (unbelievable how quickly some posters below the story have turned on CB). If not true, well, nothing new there.

Pretty far yes but he hasn’t given himself a lot of options, man city don’t want him, he doesn’t want to play for mediocre prem team, doesn’t want to play in Scotland, and we wont pay the money so where does he go?
I've read somewhere he is a fan of the Dutch League, Feyenoord specifically, and that his Dutch physio has recently quit working with the Welsh squad. Just me speculating but my gut feelings on Bellers are that if he was coming to us it would have been done by now.
