It cant be done yet, we all know we have to wait for the window to shut before there is a real chance of him coming.
At that time Man City would have two vhoices, to pay him full whack to sit in the stands, or get some back by loaning him out and as Bellamy is refusing to go anywhere but here with us, it's us they have to deal with.

But if it was one of the top teams then that is different, Arsenal are in trouble with players ?
 
I know what your saying about the window and the 25 man squads and all that, i may be mistaken but didnt we get him after the 2nd game of last season on loan? I just get the feeling we wont get Bellers this time around, hope im wrong
 
Yes, but the circumstances were different last season, Mancini wasn't as pigheaded, and the board want these players sold now, not have to pay the best part of the wages and watch them play for someone else.

The idea is they will feel its better to move on rather than stay where they have no chance of playing, but it is backfiring on them.
Craig only has to sit and let the window close and they are stuck with paying him for nothing, a loan would be the only option then, and craig has made it clear where he would like to be loaned out.

Also, it's a bit rich talking about the "morality" of Man City's decision when you had 8 players, most of them Prem quality on loan last season; when you had the vast majority of a world class player's wages paid by another club. Perfectly legal of course, but morally right? Don't think so, so cut the hypocrisy. It's very unattractive.

I think there's a paragraph missing here. You know it's the one where you explain the morality of not paying rent.

Now where've I seen that statement recently?
 
We're being charitable Heaton. Man City are paying huge wages for nothing. We're offering to take some of that pain away. We have no obligation to Man City, but we are offering to enter into a deal with them. It's a case of something or nothing.

Not paying rent........well, that's a different matter if you are legally obliged!
 
Whatever happens with Craig Bellamy or any of the other 5 players who have been frozen out by Mancini at Manchester City the fault lies in one area only and that is Manchester City Football Club. Since the megarich people have taken over the club they have decided to pay inflated transfer fees for players together with contracts with massive wages attached.

The wages offered to players even today with the £180k per week to Nasri are double that being offered by Arsenal and without the megarich owners would be unsustainable for any football Premier League or not. So after signing players for inflated transfer fees on massive wages the club now expect the players to walk away because the manager decides he doesn't want them.

That is the managers perogative but the club needs to understand and accept that having paid wages probably double that likely to be offered at any other Premier League club then they have to accept their responsibility in this matter. Afterall wasn't Manchester City the first club to sign a high profile, Robbie Fowler, for 1/4 of the transfer fee Leeds Utd paid Liverpool for the player and still Leeds Utd paid 33% of the players wages for the 3 years of the players contract.

I can't remember Manchester City complaining about another club paying a % of Robbie Fowlers wages back in 2003 and for me in this situation the club has made their bed and they should lie in it.

Be it Craig, Adebayor,Bridge whoever this club must settle contract issues with each of these players that is their responsibility and when they do settle with Craig I still believe he will come to Cardiff on a 2 year contract on offordable wages for the club.

Mancini is ducking the issues by saying they aren't players he signed. Tough!
 
The longer this goes on the more I get the impression that Mancini is just a front man for an organisation rather than a decision-making manager.

He may well rule squad and team selection policy, but as far as financial matters are concerned, he's outside the loop. If Craig and the others are not in Mancini's plans, the decision as to what to do will be taken at an entirely different level.

Man City as a club (not necessarily Mancini) are entirely to blame for this fiasco, and the Prem's 25 man squad rule introduced last year is about to shaft them. I doubt the owners will fret too much - it's just loose change in their pockets to them.

Your absolutely spot on here Sparkey as Manchester City have employed John Williams Ex Blackburn Rovers Chairman to deal with the issue of these "5" players leaving the club. Even Gary Cook has washed his hands of it and Mancini only wants them gone because he doesn't want disaffected players around the club.

Manchester City have made their bed and I'm afraid it will cost them a lot of money before they can lay in it peacefully.
 
Green, the £3M is probably less of an issue than the £80k a week!

We could always pass the buckets around at the next home game...or do we only do that for really desperate cases? <whistle>
 
We can pay £3 million but not the wages on top. Now after 1st.Sept we don`t have to pay a transfer fee so we can use that money to offer a better deal on the wages that is the plan.

How come we all understand the mess Man City got themselves into but they can`t?

We are in the driving seat if we can do the deal then he comes here if not then good luck to him whatever he decides and thanks for last season.
